fsmnt Highly recommend it! This drama really portrays how the Emperor's sons fight for the position and it's really enjoyable yet heartbreaking. The main characters are also very interesting and you'll understand the characters' actions and thoughts the more as you watch it.

Sound of Desert is another one. I still watch Lost Love in Times because of her and William. I don't like childish and sometimes 'stupid' 'reckless' young character in many C drama, I like a more mature elegant lady character, so please bring more actresses in their 30ies even 40ies and beyond to become the female lead.

Watching "To my dear self" right now, and honestly the script is so bland that I struggle to keep following the drama...Liu Shishi's acting also leans more on the "trying too hard" side, but kudos to her for taking on a role that's well suited for her age. Next in the series will you consider doing 胡歌？ ;)

@@souperlao3949 loool Biggest joke. There is no role Jiang Xin can't act. LSS was a dead fish eyes actress in YWOTYC (she was just wooden here) and LOTCH. BBJX was her peak. In my opinion she was miscasted in Song of the desert : an actress with bright eyes and a more exotic look would have been better pick but Tangren just favoured her so much she was casting her everywhere (instead of to hone other talents to substain her company after the departure of the likes of Yuan Hong, Hu Ge and LSS). I have yet to find a character Jiang Xin acted bad even as a newcomer

@@souperlao3949 No need to insult me. Sorry but LSS used to be a wooden actress especially in Young Warrior of the Yang Clan . She improved with time but her peak remains BBJX. And from what I read up here, she tends to try a lil hard in her latest drama and I am not surprised. I have yet to find a bad acting of Jiang Xin even when she debuted at 20. Actresses like Jiang Xin (Bigger boned) or Xuan Lu (a lil fierce type of beauty) never really soar in China because of their look.

I started to notice her in Scarlet Heart. Her story in Chinese Paladin III is so fasinating, but her performance is quite meh. She is a bit unremarkable in most of her drama roles compared with other leading ladies like Yang Mi or Zhao Liying. She always looks good in magzine covers and her looks is what I consider 小家碧玉.

For the record, I watch nearly everything that LSS puts out. That being said, I also find her incredibly dull, lol, especially in lacking personal charisma to build intense chemistry with other actors/actresses lol. When she's lucky, she's paired with other actors who are really good at building that tension. Why??? There's something about her that just seems stiff and restrained...which makes her quite good at the ladylike roles but sorely misplaced in pluckier roles. And yet, I still check out everything she's in...lol.

Hi Avenue X, you don't really talk about her as an actress, her style or quality. I would have found that more interesting. Bu Bu Jing Xin and Sound of the Desert are her best works. But honestly she is not an amazing actress. She speaks too fast and is not actually that good at diversifying her emotions. I have tried to watch her most recent drama and it is absolutely terrible.
