They really need to stop using the word “gaslighting” and replace it with Trumping.

I wish Dean would go deeper regarding his stance on abortion. Why doesn't he even talk about the safety, and life risk of the mother, or the fact that all pregnancies aren't from consensual intimacy, nor how affected mothers can be children themselves - incapable of making such a decision. Dean goes off comparing the fetus to lung cancer, when he could focus more on the place the baby is conceived. Two adults may consent to sex, but the woman can't run away from her pregnancy, while it's okay for the man to? Let's hold men more accountable than that. If the responsibility truly were equal. I love Dean, but I disagree that his abortion debate is his best. He focuses on all the wrong things, and it grates my teets.

I can’t speak for Dean, of course, but in my opinion.. he doesn’t focus on life of the mother & pregnancies from rape because pro-life people like to use the “it’s only 1% of abortions” statistic. so instead of fighting them about that, he chooses other paths to defend abortion. but this is just how I see it.

@dbdqueen2786 I appreciate your perspective and wondered if that were the case myself. I often see people in the chat ask for democratic women to join the live when the ab topic comes up because there do seem to be some leaky arguments being made IMO. Slapping zygotes and not centering the value of the mother's life just seems like a miss for me. However, I recognize I'm not a professional debater, as they are, so I may just not fully understand their methods.
