I am in the middle od a divorce i never wanted but my husband is going threw with it he is a christian so its hard for me to imagine him abandoning me n our marriage of 11 years my hearts broken its the hardest thing ive dealt with my entire life im drawing even closer to the lord because i am near my 60 and feel very alone i know depression can be debilitating i can only pray god fill me with his love n joy....i try to remind myself somewhere else someone suffers more than myself so i have to except it and try not to allow the enemy to take the joy of the lord 🤗

I endured a divorce from a 7 year marriage and let me tell you.... GOD was my rock! Lean on him. He was all I had. He wiped every tear of mine, comforts the broken hearted and those crushed in spirit. I am a living testimony. I know it feels unbearable believe me I DO.But Jesus will get you through. 💗 i will be praying for your strength and endurance.

I wanted to ask for prayer because I cannot seem to stop obsessive thinking about whether or not I have saving faith, if I REALLY believe, and if I really love God. I am praying for you Joe. I struggle with this at times too. The fact that you are questioning all of this is a sign that you are actively examining your heart! (Which the bible instructs us to do.) Keep searching for God and stay in his word which will keep you in the truth and may he put you at ease as you he grants you peace of mind and peace of heart that surpasses all understanding. Hi Joe, I had gone through the same thing and was obsessing about it. It was during a period of my life when I was going through severe depression. God has you! When we are walking in that fear we even doubt if we love God. Those are LIES from the enemy! God loves you. He loved us first. As Neil mentioned, know your identity in Christ. You are loved, you are saved. Just the fact you question it tells me that you are seeking to know the truth. We can't fathom how great God's grace and mercy are! Talk to other believers who can help reassure you of these truths. Rebuke the fear in the name of Jesus! Jesus didn't come to condemn us but to save us. Stay in God's truth! The fear, doubt and confusion you may be experiencing is from the father of lies, satan. The more we grow in Christ, the more we grow to love Him. Think of your heavenly father the way an earthly father is. A father loves his child and no matter how much or how hugely that child messes up the father continues to love him and instruct him. Now think how much greater our heavenly Father loves us! Don't fret and don't allow the enemy to torture you like this. I can completely identify with you. I eventually found a way out of my depression and obsess about this anymore but I did keep searching the Truth. When the obsession rises up again, call a mature Christian to pray for you and reassure you until you are able to see it for yourself. Don't allow satan to make you feel condemn. Also, your feelings are not facts. Faith is hope in things not yet seen. Faith in Truth is the reality. Seeing things in the physical is not always Truth! God bless you and I will pray you.
