GREAT video ... really really impressed. You have more soul in your music than many idiots with 300 patch cables and a $100000 Modular kit. They usually are their own fans and think they are doing something great. But you have produced something miraculous... you have made a machine breathe and have a soul. Bravo! I can only recall Blade Runner. The replicant who has seen things which humans can never see.

Hi friend. first of all, i think what you're doing is awesome and really pays homage to those two cheap little beasts that are the neutron and the sq-1. Bravo again. I'd like to know how you program the B line (bass) of the SQ-1 so that every time you press a key, it keeps playing the same note until you press another key.

When i conected any keyboard, even a midi keyboard , it sounds a note like if Neutron has a secuencer, it sounds with out pushing any key. When i push any key the sound persist and it takes the note of any key. I thought is the LFO Rate so i put it down but it persists. sorry to be a trouble. regards from a friend from Mexico, Thanks!!

Hello, my SQ-1 arrived today and I have a question regarding midi output. Testing the unit I'm using only the supplied midi adapter that came with the unit. I connected it to my Novation Bass Station 1 via USB cable only. It only plays sequence B not sequence A? Is my unit faulty or is this normal behavior using the supplied midi adapter? Found nothing in the manual regarding. Thank you .

beautiful... how did you make the step jump latch on the same note throughout the whole cv B sequence? just got my SQ1 and it wouldn't do that! something about the gate switch and slide?

If you like to use the microbrute keyboard you connect mictrobrute cv gate out to neutron e. Gate 1. And microbrute pitch out to neutron input osc1+2. If you want the sound of the microbrute thrue the neutron, Line out microbrute to input on the back of the neutron!

Thanks so much for sharing! This was one of the videos that got me to invest in a Neutron and SQ-1. I'm having one problem - how are you getting CV-B step jump to play the same note throughout the sequence once you press it? I'm trying to do something similar with my Neutron/SQ-1 setup and I just can't get it working the same way. I've got the gates on for each step, slide off...or is there some setting in the Neutron software you've used?

How do you control the non sequenced part? Is it just a CV going straight to the osc-in with the sq-1 in "jump" mode?
@akai85594 жыл бұрын
Yeah I just figured it out. Make sure the gate is on for the steps you want then make all the steps for cv b inactive steps. Then when you switch back to step jump you can change the pitch and it will stay
@jimivandebeek4 жыл бұрын
Sequencer B al active steps off. (gates on!) You can tune every step and play it like a keyboard. It looks like the sequencer is running but it stays on the step you choose in step jump mode.
