When I got my violin, it had the sad "Celtic/Gypsy" sound. I haven't been able to find the correct string type and brand to reproduce the same sound. I am frustrated and sometimes just don't play because I hate the "bright" sound. Can you help.

My violin is slightly oversize and a little bit above a student level. Hans Garrett, "Stradivarius model 2226, made to MENC (?) Standards and made in Romania.

Hi, apologies I missed it - can you be a little more specific please? What exacflty if the issue? Slurs should not have an impact on timing, so something else is going on here from the sounds of it...

When I play slurs I think my fingers are to fast and have been unsuccessful with making them sound nice and or as if they are even supposed to be there Thank you for your response. I enjoy your Content full disclosure I have only been playing since August, but I am surprisingly really good also I am left handed and learning both right and left handed because why not
