Can you give tips for red flags or how to know your teacher is not good for you or a good fit. I'm asking because about a year ago I had a teacher and he has good reviews. His classes were unstructured, didn't teach me scales, note reading, no theory. When I bring in three of my books we didn't work on not even one. I feel like I had to be the one to pick a topic for the lesson. All he seemed to do was teach me a song of my request.
