I love It! Great deep tone. Even the lime green color looks gorgeous.

I like how the tone control is actually useful.

Cool, me too. Mine will be in shell pink and what colour will be yours?

I have this bass! Mine is an alder body/rosewood fretboard and I love it. Yes it does have a great slap tone! My favorite thing about P style basses is that you can't just dial in different sounds and attacks like other basses. The simplicity of just a volume and tone makes you adjust and own your technique if you want a different sound.

I have one with maple fretboard, white pick guard and electric blue body. I paid 500$ for it on eBay 10 years ago, not one single bet. I just love it.

I freaking love that color

Why all that compression? You can't hear the dynamic. Sounds great though.

It's a really, really good sounding bass.

Leo said "The very best instruments I have ever made". I agree. The LB-100 sounds just like a really good old P- Bass should ! And it's new - And it's plecked !!!

Just bought the identical bass with matching green headstock. #12 neck with 12" radius. Killer P bass!! :)

Steve! Cool demo. Question, I have a USA Sb-2t but been gassing for an Lb-100 recently. Do you think it would be overkill for me to get one considering I can approximate a vintage P tone with my SB's volume turned down a bit? Just want to know from a practicality standpoint when it comes to sound.

don't forget the most important component: fingers, and how they pluck

Nice Iron Maiden-esque intro there...about time we get a bit more rock-style playing.

Do you have a G&L sb1 review?
@CordScott7 жыл бұрын
Damn. Those pickups are killer. I don't think I've heard a better sounding pbass. I've always been more of a J-bass guy, but this makes me reconsider? Is it the pickups? wood? USA made?

Cord Scott All of the above plus the build quality. Seriously.

All save the USA Made bit, I have a tribute l2k that I play over my USA one live 90% of the time just because it plays better than any usa G&L I've ever played.

I'd say he has a "ship load" of scoop EQd into the mix. I hate it. Sounds nothing like a good classic P bass.

Whats the difference between the US and Tribute models?
@acousticsong-guitarco9643 жыл бұрын
All I know is that the hardware is the same, but made in US versus Korea.

t is really a pity the don´t make anymore something like GL El Toro from the ´80, what a great GLbass. I´m really disappointed with all new stuff. If you find one, don´t hesitate to get it. The new versions of the GL sound metallic and to hard, not any warm tones at all, sorry.

How does he have the amp EQd? Has none of the classic P bass midrange. I guess there's no accounting for taste but, IMHO, this review does not do much to showcase this bass.
