Another great review. Thank you. Raye is brilliant live. Can I suggest, The Thrill Is Gone at the Mercury Prize Awards. Worth It live at the Hilton Hotel. Raye performing a medley of her songs at the Brit Awards. It’s a Mans Mans World at the Montreux Jazz Festival. I could go on and on. Thanks.

No disrespect to Amy, bless her and RIP, but Raye really loves performing, rarely if ever screws up or turns in a bad one, and despite a variety of personal andprofessional challenges in her pert, she is fundamentally aware of her own self-worth and optimistic about overcoming her demons. A lot of people compare Raye to Amy, and no doubt with good intentions. They certainly share some influences, and I get it, they're both a bit classic and a bit gangster at the same time; but it's an association that's very heavy, given Amy's tragic trajectory. So, I think it's important to recognise that any resemblance is quite limited. You should definitely check out more of Raye's stuff; my personal recommendation is Worth It, performed live at the Park Lane Hotel, but there are many others. The more you see of her, the more like herself she becomes ☺️. Such a talent.

I love this comment and it is the first time I have seen somebody take a more nuanced approach to the comparison. I loved Amy and her music but to me Raye is a completely different vibe. She is just as raw and real as Amy was but Raye brings a positive and hopeful vibe that I never felt in Amy's music. I'm not saying either is better than the other, just different and both bringing something completely unique
