thanks for your helpful video! i have a question that on the vaccine packages, it has a PFU (plaque-forming unit), what does it means while the vaccine enters the body, the antiboides will immediately against pathogens?

It's a measure of how much attenuated virus is present in the vaccine

@@animatedbiologywitharpan oh sorry but, according to the definiton of PFU, is there any case that two viruses affect one cell to form a plaque?

Do live attenuated vaccines offer a more complete immune response? Are both the innate and adaptive immune responses challenged and thus enhanced...as compared to mRNA vaccines which might focus only on antibodies?

If a person have survived several attack of coronavirus without being treated in the hospital. Is there any need for him or her to be vaccinated? Couldn't the body creat its own measures against the virus.

It’s possible that body would have the immune memory theoretically. But current research shows immune memory is correlated with severity of infection. So vacillating an individual would boost the immune system further. After one recovered from covid infection some immunity persist which fades away with time.

@@animatedbiologywitharpan ok thanks. What could happen after getting a vaccine if a person to be vaccinated already had an infection which is not severe? Could the vaccine increase complication or save the patient.

It would have an additive effect….it’s like reminding your immune system multiple time about covid infection…and in subsequent times your immune system becomes more efficient and fights back quickly.

Immune response is stronger and there is strong possibility that memory cells would be generated

@@animatedbiologywitharpan would that mean, vaccines would not need booster shots every 6 months?
