I actually came searching to see if I could find this video, to know who made it, I saw it initially posted on Avishai Cohen's instagram page. It's a fantastic rendition of this song!

Hey bass man! You need to pay attention to every note when you transcribe struff that don't belong to you! There are some blatant errors. It would be nice to have the second voice too. Good voice though.

Interpretation maybe?
@cab888882 жыл бұрын
@@flokrumm No. Interpretation is making things better. Personal interpretation is supposed to be the result of a lot of hearings of the original famous version which leads you somewhere else that feels even better or different. That's the point. This version doesn't feel like that. It feels like what I wrote more, like something similar that doesn't mean anything different, except for those bass notes that are much less interesting than the original ones. As I said. It is blatant when you know and can play the song... But hey, if that's how you feel, it can mean either two things : whether I am wrong, or you are. I can only give my honest opinion... ;)

@@cab88888 How do you mean Interpretation makes something better? "Better" is completely subjective
@cab888882 жыл бұрын
@@flokrumm I understand your statement more than you know. I work in art. And there are just things that happen all the time in arts... for example, like in any disciplin, there are levels. Some people are "better" than others. Due to intelligence, talent, hours spent, culture... Would you say my kid brother and Leonardo di Vinci are the same level in painting? I can certify they are not, and it is not subjective. You might prefer what my kid brother does, and that is fair enough I respect that, but it is your choice. That is subjective. "Good" is different than "liked". It has factual reasons aside from feelings. Also, when someone is better than another, usually he went through the same issues someone with less experience is going through. That is why he sees where the other is, while the other doesn't. It doesn't mean that people with a lower level can't see that others have a higher level, but first you need some kind of knowledge to get there, and second, it is hard for them/us to gauge why they are better, or how much.

@@cab88888 I totally disagree. Completely at all means. It can be that someone prefers the artistic work of someone who has never done any art (because of its artistic thought, for any reason basically) and in that sense, "rates" this artwork better than (ye, maybe so) the artwork of someone like Leonardo da Vinci. What you are talking about is experience or the improvement of your skill. That's a tool which helps you to create art in a very specific way, for example to draw naturalistic. I think that the Problem with your way of thought is that people, who don't do art in their life as a hobby rather think that they shouldn't do it because they aren't "good" at it. That's especially really sad because art is something which helps people connect and so contributes to a healthy society
