Hey y'all! Back with another trading recap :) This week was so-so but still ended in profit. I had 4 wins and 6 losses, which means about a 3.5% profit. Still, over the past 30 days, I'm at 33% profit with a 52% win rate. Yeah, overall I have a lot of trades, but as long as I'm profitable, it doesn't bother me cuz we all know it's almost impossible to close every week in profit. It's just a matter of patience. Once again, thanks to Ara!

In the last two weeks I have done 12 trades, 10 won 2 loss, I can't explain how grateful I am that I found your channel and your strategy, especially mental health improved a lot by switching from the stressful routine I had trying to earn profits with scalping, compared to this set-and-forget approach. I am working less and having better results, this is truly what you said in one of your other videos, that it is logic for the human brain that the more you work on something, the better results will come. But in trading, the less I am trying to do, the better results I am receiving.

Hey Ara, hope you can read my message. On Swing Trading what are your pips range from min to max? because i know some pairs require alot of space. As retail traders our thoughts for swing can be more than 50 pips or even 100-200 pips range stop loss but for this smc concepts what are the pips size and what do you try to avoid even if it line up? ( I am looking at EURJPY at 4H TF, and entry to stop loss is about 140 pips, so that is why i am asking if it should be taken since you mentioned you try avoid more than 100+ pips) please clarify with me. Thanks!

I’ve noticed Aswell price likes to react at equilibrium, which is often sometimes the case in the examples when price melts before reaching your fib levels. I know you can’t catch every trade, but perhaps maybe seeing if price reacts at equilibriums d has a clear bos, could be good to take a trade from there maybe?

the whole range, before it enters into your premium or discount, particularly on the 4hr. I’ve noticed especially with eur/usd prices tends to go to equilibrium before having a reaction and melting

@@Ryan.g05 I notice that too but not enough to change my strategy. I just classify it as a missed opportunity. I monitor a large list of pairs so there's pretty much always something ready to go. I don't think too much about trades that didn't work out.

I use your strategy currently and it’s been working well. I’ve been doing premium and discount etc, but like you’ve noticed I’ve seen price reacts to equilibrium a lot as well, I’m trying to find ways that I can adapt and enhance it. I’m not trying to catch every trade, but just see why it reacts at equilibrium. Without sometimes getting to premium or discount. Here’s what I think and found ; Let’s say within the current 4H trading range. You draw out the premium and discount, there’s a BOS, and there’s imbalance left behind. If that imbalance is within the 4H equilibrium and there’s no other imbalance above or below in the premium and discount. Then if there’s a clear reaction within that imbalance first then price has a good chance it will drop and continue with your correct bias, missing the fib levels. Conversely if there’s multiple imbalances let’s say one at equilibrium and one in premium or discount it’s wiser to wait for the extreme one like you do, but in the absence of multiple imbalance. Then equilibrium tends to react, only unless there’s a clear LTF shift, let’s say within the 15M. That’s what I found out perhaps needs some more research though :)

I think i can understand your concern, personally i am a retail trader but also have small understanding of this strategy. On retail side, our fibo are usually on the 382 or 50% retracement and our side is (sometimes) price tend to continue its direction treating it as a strong/great trend. as well as the 50% retracement but in retail side if price drops to 61% or 72% is usually on a more deeper retracement. In this scenario price have imbalances/FVG near the 0.71% which regards closely to the 72% on SMC side to hit and continue its trend.

Is this backtest for your own data collection to assess winrate? It's clear you're not taking into account timezones in this test. For example, at the 8 minute mark you're setting a limit order when it's 3am your time. Are you concerned that your data is going to be skewed in that over the large sample of the year there's a chance that a significant amount of your setups will be during the night when you realistically won't be taking them?

@@tayza2982 Not at all. In my actual trading I often set limit orders before going to sleep and wake up to them being active. Timing is irrelevant. Watch the end of the video analysis when I discuss average hold time.

this strategi is sick... ive backtested over 1400 trades and all i come back to is this, personally EUR/USD ONLY stick to one pair thats enogh for about 80 - 90% ROI with 2 % risk per trade

@ ive Done over 5 years of bad tests on this and for me I got around 25% win rate in the beginning and now we’re up to 40% the difference is knowing what not to take even if it fits the strat it all comes from experience it can’t be thought so all you can do is Backtest on Fx replay and put the work in, look at the winning trades what do they have in common get better bias Stick to only one pair for me it’s the EUR/USD because of the low spread and great return but try different pairs and see what suits you just do it, And don’t look at others stats ara can have a 60% win rate and you only 20% it comes from experience and we have to accept that but also put the work in, Put minimum 3 hours a day every day no excuses back testing
