I’m excited to try this fragrance, and appreciate your review because I didn’t get to try it out when it was a limited edition fragrance. I was fortunate to be able to get some Black Gold and I absolutely love it, it’s unfortunately only limited edition. I hope they make it part of the line of fragrances.

The oil is okay, but the butter is not. It doesn't really condition, or soften the beard.

I can see where you’re coming from. I get conditioning from it, but each beard is different.

I agree. The LB butter is not very good. More sticky than conditioning. The oil is also lackluster and actually somehow made my beard dry and straw like. There are much better brands out there. Sasquatch from Black Rebel is similar to LB Tombstone in scent but their oil and butter is of much much much much better quality.

Was one of the few that was able to get my hands on it when it dropped as the special edition, and it was an absolute banger. Still have plenty left, but love that its in the lineup moving forward. Great scent indeed.

This sounds good. I have not purchased from live bearded in years because there are so many other companies that have more of what I'm looking for as far as scent profile style and strength. That being said this 1880 sounds like a profile I would like 👍🏼 as far as essentail oil profiles go 🤗

Reading the other comments; I’m probably going to be called a troll. That’s ok. I do not like the 1880 scent. All I can smell is vanilla and citrus. Unless the vanilla scent was suppose to be the bourbon. I don’t quite get that. And I’m a regular bourbon drinker and I drink Old Fashions so I know both. I detected neither of those scents. I just bought the sample pack and, unfortunately, this was the first one I tried. I am going to try the others with an open mind though. Anyway, the citrus was just overwhelming. Based on the scent description, I only smelled the citrus and touch of vanilla. Disappointing. Regular bitters has a strong smell of spices. None in this beard product. I just don’t know what happened. So 1 out of 5 stars for me just because the citrus scent was there. BUT! To be fair, there’s more to beard products than scent. As a matter of fact, the scent should be the second most important. The shampoo, conditioner, oil, and palm were spot on. Clean, soft, supple, and healthy. I came away feeling amazing and that continued through most of the day. I’m an office and plant worker so it got exposed to different environments. I’m in Alabama so it is hot and humid. Fairly pleasant right now though being in April. On everything else other than the scent, 5 out of 5. I’m looking forward to trying the other scents in my sample pack and hope I find one I like.

Great to hear your feedback! It’s funny on the 1880 I get a Carmel-orange type scent. Just shows all of our nose interpret scents differently. Please keep me posted on if you find a scent you like. If not, they always have an unscented version. As you mentioned, great feel in beard though.

@@NoBSBeardReviews I tried the American and liked it much better. It's about a 3.5/5 on the scent but I think it is growing on me. I'm trying the Tombstone today and it seems pretty good. So far about a 3/5 on the scent but, again, I might start liking it a little better. It is a bit stronger smelling (and this is after 3 hours but not as bad as first thing this morning) than the others I've tried which is the 1880 and Tombstone.

This is my least favorite sent! After I used the live bearded sample pack and the 1880 was the worst to me. I actually washed it out of my beard immediately! That scent made my 🤮 sorry but that one wasn't my bag. Canyon was my favorite as well as the scent tombstone. Thanks for the video.
