So watching this I had a crazy idea. What if the MT mod was adapted into a roguelike? For instance you start as the MT and then after modified missions with waves you would be able to select power ups/boons that would improve your build as you go. Could add unique encounters, double boss fights, and could borrow some of the gear from armory mod for power ups or for instance use the boss weapons for skills on a cooldown. Could even add in stations that you scan mid mission to grant a temporary buff to the player. For instance you could do something like you choose a weapon and it levels up in damage, then you get a boon that adds shock status to that weapon and then another boon down the line that increases the shock proc damage. Or a buff that lets your assault armor put an AOE flame ACS anomaly debuff on everything it hits. There could be a pet build where you get some of the drone enemies to fly with you and attack whatever comes close. And then for cooldowns you could have maybe Jav Beta rocket every 10-15 seconds And for an ultimate every minute you could release a Balataeus missile barrage. I mean yeah it’s a lot of work but I think something like this would be really amazing. And it would get a lot of indie roguelike people into AC

For beating rummy in the future a pattern I noticed is that if you are directly or almost directly above him he won’t use his sweet sixteen but instead go in for a raw chainsaw hit which ofc leaves him paused for a couple seconds so you can stagger him. This makes him difficult to punish with the pulse blade because of your poor thrust but its repeatable so if you put on an earshot missiles and a Haldeman that might work to punish him consistently

I think it would be cool if they made a open world AC game, like what they did with Elden Ring. But instead of a AC you start off as a MT pilot and work your way to a AC pilot with a few missions lol.

mmm 2 mlt6 vs the 4? (CD of the 4 tho) does it make a difference? also 1000 ap vs 600? we neee to get something more to do this, also e little little buff to the rifle or you can use 2 of those with 3.5 seconds CD

the main reason people get filtered by the copter is that they stand in front of it like an idiot like they're fighting a DS boss and get chipped down. It literally cannot hurt you if you get behind it, and that isn't even hard to do if you make use of cover. basically the way he fought it was how the developers intended, MT not withstanding.

You could… but that‘d defeat the purpose. It‘s not supposed to be beatable. It‘s literally just playing as an MT.

@ I mean it’s more so he doesn’t want to play the mod as intended by upgrading to the tetra legs that give you 5k more AP but make you super slow, so my idea of increasing the base MT AP by a small amount just to make it almost possible doesn’t really defeat the already stupidly hard challenge. It just gives you a small chance at success instead of what is basically a zero chance
