James, that was very impressive and helpful. Especially the Headshape-T-shape animation in the end! When I heard of this concept for the first time when studying the phantastic book of Tom Richmond (the Mad Art of drawing funny faces) it didn’t get the importance of this concept. Great Job, James!

Hi! Thanks for sharing! I wonder why you draw the left eye first and then the right eye. I expected the other way around because when the right eye is drawn first you have a good sight on the eye that is already drawn when you draw the other eye, the left eye (for right handed people)
@jamesthomas11232 жыл бұрын
That’s just my favorite way to do it. It works best for me, but there’s no wrong way to draw it

Hi James, Thanks so much for sharing all of this content... gotta say it's pretty outstanding stuff... very appreciated! Can you share how you deal with drawing bodies/themes in alive situation? Thanks again, man!
@jamesthomas11232 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I try not to draw bodies and themes in a live situation, because I can draw more people if it’s just the face. But if drawing bodies are required at a gig, I usually rely on several body situations that I memorized from my time working at Caricature stands at Walt Disney World. Maybe I can do a video on it, but to be honest, I’m not that great at drawing quick body situations live lol It’s gotta be something you can draw quick, the body should be small and The whole thing should be completed in five or six minutes.

Would you sketch the basic head shape in pencil before using markers at a live event?
@jamesthomas11238 ай бұрын
Yes, I usually do a very light silhouette outline of the head shape before sketching at an event. But sometimes I draw without the sketch. Thank you!

James, I know you use the larger Tombows - have you tried the smaller Tombow Fudenosuke? I find they outlast the Zigs.
