@1103palunt thanks so much! Happy to share my gear-- I use a Boss RC300 loop station, KATMP1 drum station, and TC Helicon Acoustic pedal, which houses both the acoustic guitar and vocal effects. It detects the key for harmonies two ways--auto, which can tell the key through your guitar/piano chords (you can plug any instrument in it), or manual input -- I use both, but manual is the most reliable, as it will never be pitchy if your instrument is slightly out of tune. It's got a lot of great guitar effects as well, very good investment if you gig a lot or even record at home :)

This song transports me to another world. Thanks for sharing your gift with us. I found an old John Prine cassette tape back in 1980. Changed my world. He was a master. And so are you. My band plays this song for nursing home residents. The lyrics really don't match the bouncy happy melody, but maybe that is part of John Prine's genius. The world needs more music!

I have been playing this song for about a year and have been using various tempos looking for the right feel based on my voice. Your version of this is practically perfect in my opinion and I will try to copy your cover if I may. You are so good. Singing and playing. I am a big John Prine fan. I’m 65 and really don’t care for to many younger singers now a days. I know I’m just to set in my ways. I’ve listened to country alll my life. The old rock and roll. I love a lot of what is labeled Americana music. I like most anything that sounds good to me lol. But you young lady sound super good.
