Big tough guy lol I had a Pit follow me around a park all day and every I hit the pinpointer it would jump around. Gotta love dogs.

I got tackle smooched by a huge lab at the beach the other day. Scared the hell of me since I didn't hear him coming and I was on my knees pinpointing in the partially frozen sand. Them BOOM LICK LICK LICK lol. Nice friendly dog until two minutes later he ran after someone else with their dogs unleashed and the war started in the distance. We detectorists are the problem at the park though.......

i agree with you and the dogs. i had an unleashed pitbull come after me when i was 5 and on a bike. funnily enough i've had to hit squirels who threaten me or my family, they are relentless. whack it if its in the "sweep zone"! i do not feel bad for the squirels.. i've seen them steal multiple snacks from peoples bags. i found a buried unopened hersheys kiss right where they were committing most of their theft.. suspicious.

I had 2 pit bulls run up on me while pin pointing a hole. They were face to face with me growling until the owner showed up and said I scared his dogs. I have never been more frightened of getting mauled in my life.

So when you say audio filter your talking about adjusting the Audio Response?

After asking the question I’ve done a little research and I now believe I’ve got it. I went out in my backyard and had a play with my detector. My back yard is very trashy so I was able to adjust the audio filter and hear the different. I’m heading out in two days to do some detecting, now that I understand I’ll be giving it a try. This audio filter is not the audio response. The audio filter feature is an audio softener, the audio response feature is an audio amplifier. Versions .71 and previous versions do not have this audio filter feature.

I dont mind dogs so much when im by myself, but when i used to have a small shihtzu who didnt like other dogs it was always annoying when some guy has their huge dog off leash and ran up to us, id pick up my dog and they would always say the same dumb thing, "dont worry he is friendly", well my dog isnt and you are stressing her out
