That’s a good tip on the shallowness of rings. I am transforming from a deep woods relic hunter to a park and sidewalk hunter. I have been trying to watch how you do your plugs so well. You do an amazing job with your plugs

I need my new WS6 to sound like yours. It's still erratic. Congrats on the ring. Maybe I'll try Mono.

11 rings in three weeks is awesome, ive only found 7 since janurary, 2 kids, 2 junkers, 2 silver and 1 tungsten carbide wedding band, triton brand

Whoa nice! Recognize you from Treasure Outdoors live streams :D Finding a tungsten carbide ring is still on my wanted list of finds. Can I ask what kind of target ID on what detector it showed up as? I wonder if it's lower like gold or higher like silver. Ive found 2 junkers, 1 kids, 1 silver band, and 1 gold engagement ring so far this year. Those good ones are few and far between, but man they're awesome when they pop out!

@@jonathanc8008 I don't remember and it's at my friend's house, if you ping me on Tuesday to remind me I can check the id on the deus, my legend is currently in for a blown speaker

@@jonathanc8008 I left a reply but it looks like it didn't stay, I said I forget what it rang up, but if you remind me on Tuesday if I forget I can check what it rings up on the deus, as my legend is out for repairs, I left the ring at a friend's house and I won't be there till tuesday

I dug some plugs in my mom's front yard, and her dog followed behind me digging the plugs back up, it's possible someone did close it and it somehow opened back up by like animal or mower or something maybe, or maybe it was just bad detectorists

I know from deep woods relic hunting for 30 years that animals will come behind you and dig your plugs out sometimes.

Agree. That plug was dug to shallow, which the root’s wouldn’t stand a chance anyway, pinpointer and pop out method would have been better.

@@russellwittie8961 Also, digging in dry ground is bad for the plug period. The roots lose even more moisture after exposure. The plugs are more likely to die.

I hate digging dry ground specifically for that reason. I've been backthe next morning to places and always have plugs opened again 😓 Sucks when multiple places are dry and there's nowhere else to hunt 😕
