Absolutely the best female jazz/blues/pop female singer from the '50's. Tragically she died at 39.

@@massimosigismondi699 All of those you mention were excellent. All that I was saying was that Dinah was the best of those singers in my opinion. It was just an opinion, you are entitled to yours also. She had an enormous range of genre and was excellent at all of them. Just think and compare blues songs like "Send me to the 'Lectric Chair" with serious pop songs like "This Bitter Earth". She was outstanding.
