We have a very timid, no food drive, standard poodle here at home. I struggled like crazy with the food/treat training. I was so frustrated that I gave up on that and just did leash training. Got him good with that, flat, but good. I started then, introducing food and actually succeeded! Now he loves his training time!🎉

Really appreciate you showing what it’s like to train a dog that isn’t super eager to please/high drive. I’m currently in the process of training my Great Pyrenees and it’s been a challenge. Not sure I’ll be able to train out her innate behavior to constantly scan her environment instead of paying attention to me out on walks but we’ll see 😂

I adopted a five month old Mal mix with zero food and zero toy drive. So I took all food away and started hand feeding only. Took a few weeks and finally she had food drive. Then I could start luring and she is doing well but she requires a ton of animation from me still. I have high hopes but she is going to take a lot more work from me.

😮I train by both hand and voice. Hand comes in handy at times. My older bloodhound watches me for hand and she is going deaf. I train hand after they get voice. It also means they psy attention to me. I dont use a leash while training Leash means sonething special usually involving travel and walks. I live in country not city.

St Bernadoodle they forgot to add a few terrier genes for energy. It definitely is not a shepherd as there is no eagerness and alertness.

Happy Birthday Stephanie. It's belated but it's Heart felt I am not sure what that dog is but. I'm sure she's part doodle. Her tail is like.Shepherd Because of length and how it flows around. I guess I could take a wild guess and say. Part. Will I give up all? I can't think of one other than she's part doodle somewhere along the line maybe. Maybe old English?

I had to do the London Bridge technique to get my sheepadoodle to understand lay down. She seems like an oodle or some kind. Even has what my family like to call "doodle brained" or as you said "slow as molasses". 😂 Also I got to the part where you made words up in different languages to make the point. I know a bit of Russian. DUDE! warn us next time ok? Part of an apple went up my nose 😵💫 "Sit" is "sidet"... Or "suka blyat"... if you trust me. 😈 jk. 🤣

She looks like a doodle. I'll be surprised if she's not. The only other dog she could be if she is actually a purebred is one of the belgian shepherd breeds - the Lakenois? I would still say sheep-a-doodle by the markings.

Vertical cell phone aspect ratio? C'mon guy. If you think your lessons have value.....doesn't the student's viewing experience have commensurate value? Yes I can extract some value regardless .....but I must consider the source in my learning and observations. A mad response is expected...no response is expected even more. I'm curious if you care for the 2+ million that gives to you.

I didn't know how to train my dog to not jump so I turned around waiting for her to settle down then I turned to her she jumped back up so I turned around and took a step and turned back toward her and if she did it again I would repeat step 2 then when she settled down I was going in to pet her she jumped back on me then I repeated step 2 until she didn't jump on me when I came over to pet her and I did that for 3 days in a row and she barely jumps anymore she will if my brother comes in because he allows it but everyone else she doesn't
