I think that’s the absolute least of this guy’s problems. His overall “likability” (or serious lack there of) is a huge disadvantage….along with the facts not being on Chad’s side, Chad’s personality (and again lack there of) his demeanour & overall “ick factor”, which is a real thing. Chad & his lawyer have the charisma & appeal of a wet cushion on a spring day.

It's quite common in the states. It's insane how poorly run a lot of the systems are. Her saying budgets preclude a lot of autopsies. How many murders are missed because of the incompetence..

Would you like me to have the court reporter read your testimony back you to you to refresh your memory??" "Are you referring to lividity, sir? Because I did discuss lividity with the Prosecutor. Lipidity is not a word."

This is a small town/county that gets about 50 deaths per year and way fewer of them are murders, if any. Idaho has only 2.2 murders per 100,000 people in the entire state per year ( one of the lowest in the entire US), so I am not surprised that she was so wet behind the ears. It is her delivery that was so bad. Also considering that she made a BIG mistake on one of her first cases, well, I am sure she did not want to be there as well. Thankfully, she corrected her mistake after the body was autopsied. She is not the first coroner to have this happen.

Why doesn’t the prosecutor object to mischaracterization of evidence/testimony? Defense does this a lot…..ex in regards to TD saying airsoft gun/gun/rifle. Officer was very much correct when he stated she says gun and rifle later in the call. I’m sure the jury picked it up towards the end of the day when the call was played again during another witnesses testimony but ugh. Was this a tactic to make the defense attorney look sly? Seems like it should have been done with the initial witness after cross.

If I were a juror I wouldn’t have been impressed at all with Priors attack on the Coroner. Prior had the perfect opportunity to make her look bad but I think she’s gonna get sympathy votes for being bullied by Prior. Maybe he wants Chad to be found guilty. Prior had ample opportunity to make her look really bad but I think they are gonna feel bad for the meekness of her testimony.

I'm sorry, as one who holds the opinion that the responsibility of coroner should never fall to anyone without a PA, NP, or better, the fact that she says that lividity proves how they died is just absolutely wrong. You could be murdered as you stood, hauled 50 miles and dumped in a ditch and the lividity would only show that as time went on, after death, the body remained in the same position for a length of time, in the ditch, as your vessels started leaking blood/fluid. It has zero bearing on how the person die, but how the person lay/rested after death.

There's other court business that has to go on during the day, like hearings for other cases, phone calls, paperwork, etc. You won't see them in these live streams, but just because the lunch goes long or this particular case ends before 5pm each day doesn't mean the staff and judge aren't working. You've clearly never been to an actual court house.
