McCarthy had a great response to the return-to-office question with Flo close behind. Repurpose state land to help lessen the housing crisis and homeless epidemic and let state workers continue to excel at their jobs, remotely. Newsom's push for RTO is bad for the environment, bad for the budget, bad for local economies, and bad for worker moral.

Bye Hansen and Pan, you won’t have my vote. State workers are also taxpayers and many are Sacramento residents. They should not be forced to spend money on a specific area against their will. Not only that, Sacramento congestion and pollution is bad enough, how are you guys going to solve this by putting more cars and people on the road? Allow state workers to work from home to the maximum increase their morale and dedication to serve Californians, increase productivity, decrease pollution, decrease traffic, support local business (and not just downtown businesses who really should focus on innovating and adjusting their business models to adapt to the new way of things), help with house prices, increase public health safety, etc. Please look at the bigger picture and be more forward-thinking like Flo and McCarty

I thought the SacKids First forum was outstanding. I don't understand why the moderators in this Sacramento Bee forum did not address Dr. Flo by "Doctor." They consistently addressed Dr. Pan as such. Dr. Flo is a Doctor of Epidemiology which is a significant contribution to our community and should be recognized. I know our First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, appreciates that people recognize her accomplishments by addressing her as "Doctor." In a university setting Dr. Flo would be addressed as "Doctor." I did think moderators did a good job at keeping candidates on track. I found both forums to be helpful, but the SacKids First forum was highly instructional and inspirational.
