Sorry missed the show, watching the re-run, was out in the storm over Oxfordshire, expert at catching the Rain atm, was up on the flooded Ridgeway, we would have been dryer jumping in a bath!! Glad someone was by a fire warming themselves 😂

I missed the live stream but when you were talking about the artillery shell, I learned you can't control certain things that happen but we can work at controlling how we react to it. I see you working at "owning it" rather than it "owning you" Greetings from a Texas Policeman who has seen a few things myself. Blessings to you and yours friend!

Happy New Years Nick and family! How lovely, sorry I missed this. So nice to see the family altogether and your son is already learning safely lifetime skills he will use all his life. I love watching children learn. You can see your son stop and watch. Hahahaha you are right about attention span but do not let that fool you. Think about how fast he has learned language, to move his body, and now is adding very fast what you and your wife are teaching. Enjoy the trip!

Haven't seen this live. Happy 2022 to you all. I have a bag of kindling and feather sticks ready for any fire and I try to remember to replenish them when required. Demmo box yes, I was thinking about making a hot tent stove from one, the weight issue though. Good to see Finley learning young. Great start in life.

Spewin I missed the live run Nick, but enjoyed the delayed telecast nonetheless here in Aus. 😩🤣 Continue to be the change mate! Tip I sometimes give in-line with the writing on paper and burn…if you happen to be in urban setting without the fire, I often suggest writing on some dunny paper and flush it and be done with it. Anyway, loved Fin’s cameo, great to see and wishing you and Louise and Finley a great new year with continuing success. Cheers Mate. Trev 🤝👍 🇦🇺🦘

Bit late to the party, been staying away from Internet and having as much time as possible with my wife and kids, but hoping you had a great Xmas and a very happy new year Nick and family, Our home runs from a backboiler off the fire, it literally is the centre of the home, nothing quite as satisfying as prepping the fire/feathersticks😊😊😊 Looking forward to seeing what you get up to this year, I was given a lovely set of word carving whittling knives by my daughters for Xmas and plan to start making 'things' from my stack of Beech and Oak off cuts this year. Good to see you all looking healthy and happy, Matt and family,Cornwall😉

@Nick HVB Wise words from you some hit home again! "Saying yes then not turning up" Done that. Have found the danger is they no longer ask me to go out. And I'm still not able to make a feather stick could that be down to how sharp my knife is? Or I'm I just blaming the tools. You made it look effortless 😎 Happy New Year.

Now you just mentioned there about the knife being blunt, and sharpening it. Is there special ways to look after you knife equipment? Making the feather sticks looks soooooo relaxing and I'd say the smell of pine probably adds to the relaxation......now you make it look easy is it? 😂also can you pre make feather sticks and store them for future use? Oh crikey..... Best of luck with the 100 mile challenge!
