That’s blatant misrepresentation. Using only certain scientists quotes doesn’t then equal a fact of reality. Your “arguments”? Dont actually work how you want and prove any god is responsible. Now if I’m wrong, then let’s open the floor for discussion. If someone thinks the cosmological argument works then let’s start there.

Science already provides evidence that time, space, and matter had a beginning. Boy was there resistance to that when it first came out because of the ingrained belief that everything was internal. Since it had a beginning, it had to have a cause. And since time, space, matter had a beginning, the cause had to be outside of time, space and matter. The effect can't be the cause of itself, that would be logically incoherent.
@therick3632 жыл бұрын
@@elkhuntr2816 _science already provided evidence that time space and matter had a beginning_ Actually that’s not accurate. There are some theories and models which suggest that. And some that say they didn’t have a beginning. It also comes down to how we conceptualize and grasp certain concepts. _boy was there resistance to that when it first came out_ Yes. And it’s still not agreed upon. _since it had a beginning, it had to have a cause_ It’s likely this universe had a “beginning” of that concept applies, and I don’t think anyone really says there wasn’t a cause. What is said is we don’t know what the cause was. _and since time, space, matter had a beginning, the cause had to be outside of time, space, and matter_ We don’t know if thats true for both parts there. _the effect can’t be the cause of islet that would be logically incoherent_ To you. Some don’t have any issues with such a concept. There are some models which don’t need an outside cause. But let’s ask you this then….what is the answer/explanation?

@@therick363 "It’s likely this universe had a “beginning” of that concept applies, and I don’t think anyone really says there wasn’t a cause. What is said is we don’t know what the cause was." Based on that fact (time, space, matter had a beginning), there are things that necessarily follow. The cause could not be within time, space, or matter. Since they began to exist, the cause had to exist at a point when space, time, and matter did not exist. Therefore logically the cause had to exist outside of space, time, and matter. Since the cause existed a point when there was no space, time, or matter, the cause had to be immaterial, spaceless, and timeless. That also logically follows. On top of that, the cause had to be a personal agent capable of free will deciding to create something rather than nothing. Einsteins theory of relativity points to the fact that time, space, and matter have to coexist.
@therick3632 жыл бұрын
@@elkhuntr2816 _based on the fact (time space matter had a beginning) there are things that necessary follow_ Except that it’s NOT a fact. So saying that necessarily follow is into a hypothetical/thought experiment. The rest of what you said into works that way when we don’t know for a fact. If I’m wrong then share how it’s a fact….. Yes Einstein’s theory supports that. But his theory is incomplete. We know this. It’s not the whole picture. We also have quantum theories that say there wasn’t a beginning. We also know they aren’t the whole picture. So I’m sorry you can’t only use Einstein and disregard other scientific concepts.
