Found your first book on my shelf here in Italy, have no idea how I came to own it, began yesterday, can't put it down. Didn't need the visual but it has brought to life everything I already pictured.

Love your Diary/Confessions books ! As a collector /occasional dealer and book enthusiast, you are providing a service and (clearly) a philosophy that should be held in increasing value and worth in these transitory times. I hope to visit your shop in the next year or so (mortality permitting).

Thanks for the tour. I'm reading (and enjoying) your second book so I can now picture the shop perfectly. I also happened to read the section you read from on a whole town being shut today. What a coincidence!

We read you above book in our book club , we all loved it. Now I’m planning to do Scotland tour so hope will de-tour to your book shop. My friend always gets old historical books so now i know where to buy them. It’s so lovely to see the writer , if he’s still alive like you . I like your posh accent 🌷

Your book was a gift from my friend from Edinburgh. As a librarian I want you to know that I’m not bothered in the least (well maybe a little sad- the truth hurts) by your feelings regarding librarians and library books. Please keep this a secret, but when I want a book, I go to a bookstore rather than to the library, for the most part. But please don’t tell my colleagues as they would likely be horrified and my reputation entirely ruined. Nonetheless, I so enjoyed your book (and video) and will read the next one! P.S. Thank you for letting us know that Captain put on weight. The same happened to me (I blame it entirely on COVID). And I can’t wait to thank Fiona for your book! Cheers to books and those of us who love them. I’m going to shoot my mother’s old book computer thingy in the back yard and then take it to he toxic recycling center! Thanks for the idea. Oh wait…. Did you receive the Patterson grant? You will likely make me read the next book to find out! And thanks for the permission to write in margins. I’ve done it for years!

Can't this guy tuck his shirt in, like a normal human being? Are there no barbers, or even combs, in Scotland? WTF already!

What is a normal human being? Show us your picture. We will judge you too

Supossedly makes him all windswept and interesting. Personally I'd tuck my shirt in.

@@TheBrakpan Booksellers are not suposed to look windswept and it's certainly not at all interesting.

😂 I happen to think Shaun looks adorable… 😊… I look forward to reading many more books from him! Nelle is the answer, but I’m probably way too late for the Scottish pound note, alas. 😛Peace and love to all from Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸 God bless all in Scotland and the rest of the British Isles ( especially Ireland 🇮🇪 where some of my ancestors are from!)
