If you’re sad, you can cry to Chino, if you’re in love, you can love through Chino. If you’re mad, you can rage with Chino. I’m a huge Deftones fan, but when I found Team Sleep, Crosses, and Palms, I was in heaven. I love the ambient sounds of his bands. It takes you to another realm.

Damn when I first heard this demo when it was called Natalie Portman I was so screwed up in my head and on so many drugs and I just loved turning the lights off and listening to this song for days, that was almost 20 years ago and this song still brings me back to those crazy days I couldn’t believe how someone could make a song that could affect someone’s life so much, I fuckin love this song and still listen to it all the time and remember those days of getting high and going to another place listening to chino.

Team Sleep is definitely a great stoner album, I only proper got into this album last year after being a big deftones fan for years now and I couldn't get over how good it is. I already got many fond memories of listening to this album with a couple of j's. Nothing but good times and this record will continue to give me many more for years to come haha.

Does anyone know that “Teenager “ and “ Be Quiet and Drive acoustic” were originally Team Sleep Songs ? Team Sleep was never supposed to happen .. Chino was close friends with Todd Wilkinson in Highschool and they both shared the electronic/post punk era of music . Chino was hanging out with him one day and they began writing music(for fun) and the rest was history.
