UNCSA high school piano student Cristian Makhuli performs the Spanish Rhapsody by Franz Liszt.
Cristian Makhuli, 17, is a high school senior at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, studying with Dr. Dmitri Vorobiev. Born in Charlotte, NC, Cristian began his piano studies at the age of nine. He made his orchestral debut at the age of 13 with the Winston Salem Symphony. Since then, he has appeared with numerous orchestras, and will be performing with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Christopher James Lees during the 2022-23 season. This past summer, Cristian attended the Southeastern Piano Festival and the Aspen Music Festival.
