Rob, Mauricio was great in the game against us. It was a surprise, but it's a fact. Watch the game first, hot take later.

Completely agree with Rob about the US this week, esp the Ensing thoughts. There is zero reason to play him or even bring him. Let's face it, the future of OPPO on the US roster - at this point - is either Hanes or Gabi, so bring one of them instead. Add that Rob is also correct, if you're not bringing an extra oppo to the Olympics and things are going well with Anderson, then it's time to work the 3 OH and maybe move TJ over there and have Russell, and Jaeschke as primary OHs. And even if you want to give Anderson a night off instead of back to back matches, work the 3 OH lineup from the jump. I also agree with Everett on Shoji. You know he'll be fine, no worries on who your libero is night in and night out at the Olympics. It's okay to give him a rest.

This second Vnl week was a "wake up coffee" as Rob has said.Usa performance reminds me 2021 performance in VNL and then the failure at the Olympics in August. That year Vnl Finals available spot were reduced at 4 in 2021 and not 8 but there were no excuses at all about the group stage exit in the Olympics which was a failure. The US situation brings me back to that summer...overall there's no good feeling 😅

So even when USA goes 4/4 in Week 3, no chance for QF? I hope they're not back to their 2021 era again with failing both VNL and Olympics 😢

Depends on the other teams' performances. Italy, Poland, Japan, Slovenia currently sit on 6 wins; Brazil, France sit on 5; Canada, Cuba, and Argentina sit on 4. USA is 11th and sits on 3.

@@naymorningstar Okay, i think they can still achieve even an 8th place. Not going on week 1 hurt more cause they could most likely be on 5-6 wins as well.

@@gissnericYeah,I think even an 7th place could be an affair if top 5 classified teams don't play with college guys and no motivation at all...i want to remember that in the last matches there are last 5-6 position to fix with a view on the quarter finals..

I hope the US is just using VNL as warm up and can lift their play (and their grit!) several levels when the Olympics starts but they looked tired and out of sorts against Canada. Hopefully Max Holt was just saving his jump for the Olympics.

Hey Everett, congrats, bro! Haha, I couldn't believe it either; I've always been on Rob's team. As he said in his previous episode, "Hmm, who cares?" The US will always win against Canada, right? I have nothing to worry about. 😊😊

It could be cleaner and prettier, but it's CUBA 😉😉 of course, it is always messy with Cuba; that’s the Cuba game. Thank you, Canada, for the support of the Cuban team. Canadians are always big friends of Cuba

Isn't Matt Anderson going to have to play 3 days in a row in the Olympics? 😬

Yikes, the canadian women were treated very well in arlington even vs our team, just saying 😭😅

Why didn't Delfaco play against Canada? I love Matt Anderson, but he already looks tired. Which worries me. Our demeanor suuuuuucked. Like we have no identity.

34:35 Japan has won 2 bronze medals in 1970 and 1974 World Championships, 2 silver medals in 1969 and 1977 World Cups and 1 bronze medal in 2009 World Grand Champions cup. Oh, and Bronze in 1964, Silver in 1968, and Gold in 1972 Olympics. You either made this comment unknowingly, which yet again showcases the lack of basic volleyball knowledge and incompetency in doing basic research and giving accurate information of you guys. Or you made this comment knowingly, in which case you guys showcase that you are also incompetent at lying. Either way, your reaction was juvenile and pathetic.

Its just a training day for team USA. Never on team usa that Anderson was replaced by Ensing. VNl is not important for team Usa. Nice Job training day Team Usa
