There’s a 3 minute clip of Jasmine v Vika at the 2021 US Open. My wife and I were there & came away impressed with Jasmine. I’ve kept track of her results since.

She is non-clutch. Overrated player and one slam wonder. Don't see her winning anything big for the rest of the year.

The worst thing is when I’ve made a cup of tea in the morning and then opened the fridge and there’s no milk. Then I still try and drink the tea, trying to convince myself it’s ok, but urgh, no. Can’t finish the cup if there’s no milk in it.

Black tea (including English breakfast) goes very well with lemon and honey, fruit syrup or even jam. All very Eastern European and delicious!

Emotion/stress on the court is why we watch! Let’s keep it fair though: you guys have been very hard on Rublev for his expression of emotion/stress on the court. Emotions manifest themselves differently in men and women, but both need to be accepted.

18:04 of course she had to say it at least once. How about emotional men are not just as palatable as emotional women. Thanks for Dave. Donna Vekic is always so tense and she is still well loved. You see what you want to see don't you?

English breakfast tea is best served black with a half a spoon of sugar. If it doesn't taste good, then that is because you are consuming dust. A good assam or similar, will taste delightful, as will a good quality breakfast tea. If you are putting milk in, you are not tasting the tea.

Problem is the milk on the continent never used to taste like British milk ..too sickly. Historically not the same till more recent years

I’m sorry, but I’m tired of all the inconsistency from the WTA’s top players, especially at Wimbledon. Ever since Serena retired, Wimbledon has essentially become a crapshoot.
@kenbarrette25 күн бұрын
For me, the issue is the incredible inconsistency combined with all the hype and claims from media (including this podcast) that these are "great" players. Any of them can play great on any given day, but true greatness requires more.
@lllll925125 күн бұрын
I LOVE it. While amazing to witness great athletes have a great run/career, it's so much more exciting when it's not the same 3 or 4 winning everything. It is "inconsistency" or is it lower ranked players bringing it? Speaks to this beautiful, unpredictable sport and how much pressure top and, yes, GREAT players are under and what a HUGE factor it can be in later rounds.

@@kenbarrette Iga is definitely a great player on clay, but other than that, I agree with you.

A lot of the Women's players seem interchangeable. It's a big problem for marketing. Paolini is a nice story.

@@lordthorpe2642 It’s really bad for marketing, especially when it’s been happening every year at the most important tournament.

I hope its not a boring blow out womens final like the French was with this Paulini girl!! Im thinking Barbora is gonna steamroll her 6-1 6-2 in a very boring, lackluster ladies final😢😢😴😴😴😴
@scarymonster776524 күн бұрын
Extremely painful to watch Vekic implode under the stress and tension! She had the match on her racquet at 4-4 in the second set. That smash...and then again with the break point at 2-0 in the deciding set. Wild escape from Paolini.
