It's all about God & what He gives you. Here in the Islands we have a lot of water. Our Kalo (Taro) industry requires water, even the dry land grown, stil requires water. I get to learn about your type of farming. We do have dry land for dry land corn. Just nobody is doing that. Don't know how drain would grow right here. Keep up the good work Nick!!! Aloha, Chief

I like your explanation of organic farming. I try to buy organic as much as I can or at least natural grown. I do however see what you explained about spraying for weeds etc. and still support farmers, it's the chemical companies and following the money that I have the issue with. Think that's where most people do have the issue.

Well I have been fairly sick for a long time and it requires sleep to heal. So since didn't catch live either so I'm out for this time. I love the channel and this is what they needed when I was a kid growing up. I might of been a farmer also. I am a former logger/mechanic and mechanics are in short supply. So more wrenching and less logging. Each of us all provide for the american pubic like homes and other. I grew up in a mining community but I was adopted and they were loggers in the west coast. Born in N. Carolina but raised in washington from when I was eight. I have told you my life story a few times and bored you to death. Good luck with crops. Would love to see footage of dad and his dog. I'm 72 so dogs are a big part of my final years. Good day

In Wisconsin International trucks are called corn binders. Not certain how they got this nickname. Call it the wheat binder.

Honestly, we have no need to run John Deere. The equipment doesn't have any advantage that would draw us to change. More expensive and no more reliable. CASE combines are much simpler and don't have all the egr junk that all the other companies must use in their engines. Not that CASE IH is perfect but they have been ahead of Deere in innovation over the past 20+ years.

What I don't get is, why plant peas months ago when you have peas in the tanks/silos that you can't sell!! why produce more of them and have extra that can't sell?

A lot has to do with crop rotation. Some crops don't grow well the following year after planting certain crops. I believe you can plant what ever you want following planting peas. Wheat is the only crop you can grow continually ( rule of thumb ) you should never grow the same crop on the same land within four years of each other. Besides if the price goes up even by a 25 cents a bushel you can make some money on it.
