Have about 10 inches on the Mississippi gulf coast. Been here 55 years and I can honestly say this is crazy. Wind chill supposed to be 7 degrees in the morning. Opened the front door this afternoon and a cat covered in snow ran in. Not sure who she belongs to but she’s warm.

@@edithkinsey7031 the very light trickle of water is on the inside. ALL outside water receptacles off at it main source, not off at the house handles or the hose can burst. Above ground water lines (like in an RV) slice a pool noodle and wrap them inside it. You can cut them lengthwise. Plastic windows. If the floor is cold you can lay down blankets all over the floor if you don't have rugs.

😮 I just saw the snow on his video! Iffen you have to, move the whole family to sleep in whatever room has the main heat and close off non used rooms but not the bathrooms or the laundry as the pipes need heat. Blankets on the floor and you can even tack em to the ceiling. Insulation is the key!!! Please stay safe and warm!❤

We live in South Georgia a hour north of the FL line and we have about 3”s of snow and it is still falling. People are panicking because they cannot see the white lines on the roads and they are swerving all over the roads. It looks like snakes with 4 wheels are driving on the roads. Ice is everywhere. It’s 27 degrees right now and it is getting as low as 21 tonight. High tomorrow is 37 low 19. The snow will fall until around 4 am. 🥺😳🌨️⛄️. Love your show Ryan!

I remember being stationed at what used to be Ft Bragg, now is Ft Liberty in the mid 1970's. We got 1/2 inch of snow that kind of froze over and was slightly slippery. Fort was closed for all traffic for a day. It was gone the next day, LOTS of spin outs, car wrecks, accidents of all sorts, broken bones and other injuries. I'm speaking as a Great Lakes resident, used to heavy snow and below zero, (and heard thundersnow exactly 4 times in my life). My hopes for everybody to be safe, warm, and trouble free. If you're not used to it snow and ice can make life awful!

We have cars, trucks, suv's, and transfer trucks all over the roads, crossways, in ditches.. here in opelika alabama, no one has snow tires, very few have all terrain tires. Most don't know how to drive in this. At least in Vermont, where I grew up, people were prepared and roads were plowed, salted or at least sanded.. Say prayers for folks here, these folks are needing them. A lot of them are scared. Some have been stranded for hours on roads or in ditches.

Wasn't it announced that they wouldn't be able to rescue people?? We got a blizzard in Colorado and people were stuck in snow at the airport which the new one is like 25 miles into the country. People who were stuck were wearing shorts and sandals and had babies along but they brought no food or diapers along.

In addition to leaving your taps dripping in your house, you can also leave the doors under your sinks open to the heat in the room. If you haven’t covered your outside faucets, that is wise and easy to do. If you can’t get the styrofoam covers for your outside faucets, you could probably wrap and fasten old towels around them for insulation and to keep frigid temps from going up into the pipes and causing them to burst.

Nebraskan here. We're used to this kind of weather and it bothers me when some of my fellow Northerners mock the people down South for the way they react to this harsh weather. I don't know why they do it. Because we see it regularly, we have all of the snow & gravel trucks to deal with it but they don't have the same volume of such vehicles down South. Even with all of the trucks it's still a battle here with blowing snow, ice, sleet, and idiot drivers that somehow forgot how to drive in the same weather they saw in the 7-8 months prior. So I'm sympathetic with southeast U.S. when these weather elements come together.

We’re here in Biloxi Mississippi. We got close to six mom. Well been a put her 2 feet the way it looked. It was long to the trees all over the place. It was clung. It was fluffy and it seems like it stuck pretty good two days we’ve had no, one on our little road or just a block from Highway 90 this morning on WLOX a total Scott port had received a little more answered of snow. I’m it was the wind. It was blizzard like weather that started Tuesday night woke up the next morning and it was unbelievable still snowing and still the wind was blowing more so from the gufflike crazy it went on till after 2 PM. I know my friend next-door at Louisiana received a few more answers and our prayers and heart goes out to him. Thank you for focusing on Texas through Georgia. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
