Living so many years in and around New Orleans, we’ve been steeped in Napoleonic connections-the Napoleon Hpuse on Chartres Street in NOLA, the buried gold “somewhere” along the Pearl River collected to ransom the imprisoned Napoleon, the Napoleonic Code that makes Louisiana law different from the other states…it was so interesting to get the French side of things! The things we can learn from our children!!! Thank you! 😊

This restoration encouragement is exactly what needs to be done. There are old houses everywhere in these beautiful villages. Yesterday we visited a beautiful hilltop village with a fantastic view. Side by side sat an old rock farmhouse for sale needing restoration and a new concrete block house under construction. Ecologically, it takes far less materials and energy to restore the old house. Also it retains the historical character of the village. Glad to hear of this restoration program! 🏠
