To be fair, Lestat wouldn't make Claudia a companion either 🤷🏽‍♀ And this wasn't to save their relationship, this was to give Claudia something she wanted, so she could finally be happy.

I think the vampire love that Madeline was referring to was Louie’s love for Lestat. She said why don’t you want him to know how much you love him but Louie has told Armand he loves him. He’s never said that to Lestat before.

I like that you’re having the conversation about M/C because it’s interesting to see everybody’s perspectives! Ultimately, the universe of the show has no problem with a physically underaged vampire because **Armand** in the books was turned at 17, so…everybody, including Louis, would need to be cancelled. The writers made a great decision to age-up Armand because I know the general viewing audience wouldn’t be able to reconcile THAT. 😬😬😬 Madeleine’s not doing anything wrong according to the morals of vampiric society. Us mere mortals will continue to passionately debate and/or hatefully condemn. Understandable. I also like what Frankey said - it’s **supposed** to be uncomfortable. It’s supposed to be a bizarre relationship to consider, because this is a bizarre universe!

You know what is funny. Claudia is said to have child's body at 15. However, during the time she is in she would have been considered an adult. This is why in the movie and books she was like 9 when she got turned. The alternate history works for the show but in real life no one would be treating her as a child. They would be wondering why she isn't married with kids or working in a sewing factory.

Louis was talking shit about Claudia to convince Armand to turn Madeleine. He was lying he loves Claudia. He didn't want Madeleine's blood because he doesn't want to fee d on human. But at the end of the day Louis likes to be a victim.

Yeah, he was using a hard truth to get Armand to do this thing for him, so that he could give Claudia this. Like Louis said, whether it's true or not didn't matter, it was a means to an end to get results. And he didn't want Madeleines blood in him because he was rejecting the intimacy that the Vampire Bond creates, being that she's a complete stranger to him. He literally doesn't want her blood mixing with Lestats blood, in him. Having a whole revelation about fully understanding what he had/has with Lestat isn't just the Vampire Bond. And the difference that love makes, when creating a Vampire. Also gaining a greater understanding of what Lestat experienced, making him. And what that "bond" must've felt like for Lestat, as his maker... Also, he doesn't "like" to be the victim. He literally IS a victim. It's like saying someone "likes" to be assaulted, because they're actually struggling with the damage, of being assaulted multiple times... what kind of mindset is that.

@@blackgaycomicgeek 🤷🏾‍♂️ It's showing now, but it didn't when I originally watched it & the was the same day it aired but a lil after it had originally aired or it was the very next day & it only showed the comments section. And I had closed it out & came back in & it still didn't have a "live chat" option. Maybe it takes a day or 2 to show cuz they want to review what's said in the chat?? 🤷🏾‍♂️

It's weird for Madeleine to be with Claudia. The actress might not look like a kid but in the show she is supposed to look like one. So it's messed up

I agree. But try thinking of it like this; she has a growth disorder. She's actually a 40yr old woman, with a growth disorder, so she'll always look like a child. There are people like that who do exist irl. It would be wrong of them to date, etc. children, because they are adults. But just like any other consenting adult, they too deserve to be able to find love and partnership/companionship. It's never going to feel "comfortable", but that might help a little bit. It's what I have to do to not be too weirded out by the technicalities.

I've been saying Armand is being played. Armand was never wrong and every wrong action is justified. Louis ain't shit. Armand just wants to be loved and it seems he'll never get that the people he chooses to be his companion are never satisfied they always want more. Even in the book, Daniel was not treating Armand right. I just want Armand to win for once 🫠 #1 Armand STAN

Yes, I love Armand too. He just wants someone to take care of him. He’s never just evil to be evil, but does things more out of emotion.
