LIVE: Israel launches strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon

The Israeli air force launched another wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah on Monday and warned the Lebanese to evacuate areas used by the Iran-backed militia, which has threatened an open-ended conflict with Israel.

Israeli jets carried out dozens of airstrikes in southern Lebanon and the central Beqaa valley after the military said it had identified rocket launchers preparing to fire at Israel.
“The strikes will go on for the near future,” said Rear-Admiral Daniel Hagari, the Israeli military spokesman. “We advise civilians from Lebanese villages located in and next to buildings and areas used by Hezbollah for military purposes, such as those used to store weapons, to immediately move out of harm’s way for their own safety.”
