A live, semi-improvised jam, all on hardware, and inspired by winter uneasiness.
Dreadbox Polyend Medusa into Eventide H9 Max - Arp
Dreadbox Abyss into Eventide Space - High ambience and melody
Moog Subsequent 37 into Big Sky - Bass
Teenage Engineering PO-32 Tonic - Drum mess
Synthstrom Audible Deluge - Main sequencer/controller for Abyss/Sub37, 808 drums
Written and performed in the same night. This was a spontaneous idea, so go easy on me for the camera angle, open laptop, and tennis-elbow brace.

3 min mark, I just had ideas in my head about how much that haunting progression would suit a heavier beat. then......... and a glitchy one too!

MoFo of magnitude ! You made me buy The MEDUSA, and that Plus my Specular Temp. Put a mysterious, and devilish smile on my face, its..... So..large, in a strangely midevil way, like waiting for the Dragonian Timelords to come home, - Now I'm waiting for the Noodler to arrive from that wartorn Hong Kong, and the Deluge MUST be next 🙏

Cool music. 2:10 vibrato on Deluge? It has sensitive pads?

So cool. How do you sync the Medusa and Deluge?
@JayHosking
@JayHosking 5 жыл бұрын
I think these are merely synched via MIDI clock through the 5-pin. The Medusa is doing its own sequencing. Nice and easy!

Hi, did you connect your PO directly to the deluge? Isn't the voltage to high?
@JayHosking
@JayHosking 5 жыл бұрын
I just plugged the PO directly into the Deluge, yeah. I've read about the voltage being too high, and maybe it's true, maybe it's potentially causing problems for the device in the future. But I haven't had any issues yet and haven't noticed any changes with either of the POs I've plugged into it.

Nothing a volumepedal can't handle, - Now what I REALLY can imagine - is the value of sampled sounds, both voices, but especially drumsounds, and with the time stretch, and no length limits, it's a sealed deal for me, -

I guess if you have a regular job and you don’t have a fancy car and all that shit, you could easily sustain such a hobby.

I think he's a carpenter or engineer maybe. Regular-job-people typically can't afford nice toys, unless they are ridiculously good with their money and lucky on top. And be either single or have a successful partner. Sigh...
