Basically he's still allowed to vote because he hasn't been sentenced yet. Also, it varies by state but the generality is that you must have been sentenced to a minimum of 1 year in jail to lose your voting rights ( hence the common sentence of 11 months 29 days in alot of states that doesn't deny the convicted person the right to vote.) However, there are some laws in some states that denies the right to vote upon conviction of a crime involving voting fraud, tampering, etc. I'm not certain what the State of New York's laws are applicable in Dumpty's situation but I'm fairly sure that his right to vote will be rescinded upon sentencing.

Anthony, I was glad to hear you bring up compulsory voting today. I'm a dual citizen living in Australia. 2 things I'm regularly screaming at my TV about voting in the US is compulsory voting and rank choice voting. Rank choice is a no-brainer to me. I use it all the time because you can vote for small parties as #1 and back it up with a major party. Our Greens party has really grown because of that. That is the only way the US will ever get a legitimate 3rd party, IMHO. Even though Ron's reaction is how most will react on compulsory voting, here's my argument to convince all the Ron's out there: No worries about voter turnout, and you can't have voter suppression tactics if voting is required. We have early voting places everywhere, and mail in and absentee voting. It won't help on gerrymandering, I guess, but that's a different conversation. I hope you'll keep talking about it. Start a movement!

You're forgetting to mention the real reason trump couldn't land at the Montana airport is because he owes that airport money. There was no mechanical difficulty with his plane. He had to use the Epstein plane and land at another airport and drive 2 hours or more and was late.
