Dried yes, can be revived. But dead ones, darker brown and most cells were damaged, can't be revived.

I love Moss, Lichen & mushrooms so much. I want to make a painting-frame with a bunch of mosses in it, or even an enrtire wall, and some clay and pebles to make it look like an environment. How do you grow moss that thick? Just grow it how your normally do it and keep it for a long period of time? Do you use growth hormones or something (this thing came in my mind because I am amazed by seeing how thick some people's moss are)?

Can’t moss which has gone dry, be revived overtime? I ask because after top dressing plants with long fiber, sphagnum moss, sometimes it actually begins to regrow!

Hello! It depends on the drying condition and moss species. If it is dried due to extreme heat or sudden humidity fluctuation and starts turning brown, most of its cells are dead and hard to revive. As for sphagnum, it is well known to easy come back to life after coming in contact with consistent humidity =)

both live moss or zero moss, they need to be well taken care off. Live moss needs to be alive and well maintained to prevent mold, whereas zero moss requires clean lab environment to process.

Oh, it if is overwatered, or exposed to unexpected high heat, or, of course, too dry, randomly fluctuating environmental stress will cause the moss to die.
