Law&Crime Trials

Күн бұрын

Fifty-eight-year-old Florida woman Susan Lorincz was charged with manslaughter after admitting to shooting her neighbor, 35-year-old Ajike Owens, in June 2023. Lorincz reportedly called police seven times in one year to complain about Owens' children playing near her home. The feud between Lorincz and Owens turned deadly when Owens went to speak with Lorincz about a dispute involving her children. Lorincz said she shot Owens through her front door in self-defense. She was charged with first-degree manslaughter after authorities determined there wasn't sufficient evidence to charge her with second-degree murder. She faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.

Agree. Most people would have been upset, hysterical, if they had shot and killed someone. Yet, she shed no tears. Showed no remorse. It was all about how they annoyed her and she had to put a stop to it. Her actions had NO justification! Shooting through a closed door, she had no clue who could have been with her neighbor on the other side.....if her kids were with her. Horrible person!!

She really did not belong in this neighborhood. It is terrible that this had to happen to make her move out. It really does disprove that stereotype that those of African decent are super aggressive and violent. I have little doubt that mom was mad. To say she was going to erase the woman was clearly untrue. She was a mother and the woman told the child to go tell his mother. For the mother to ignore her child's plea would be neglect. I think she did knock on the door regular. When she got no response? She knocked harder thinking maybe the woman had her tv volume high or was in another room. Shooting at your front door is unimaginable. She didn't mention she had the ability to look outside from her sliding glass door if she wanted to see what the woman wanted. Yet, based on her earlier behavior? She knew the woman wanted to talk about the incident. At no time in the past was she physical with this woman. To make such an assumption is unrealistic. The old woman wasn't getting her way and used a gun to in an attempt to do so. She was trained in the proper way to use a gun so there is no excuse that she didn't imagine shooting straight into the door was not going to cause harm. Also, at no point did she warn the mother that she intended to use a gun to force her to leave. She gave the mother no opportunity to avoid being shot.

She set up the whole thing because it was premeditated murder. She stole from one of her kids and knew the mum would go and speak to her about it but this witch had plans solely to murder

Like the prosecution said, if AJ wanted to get inside, there's a sliding glass patio walk in window... which to my knowledge glass is easier to get through than steel. So why pound on the steel door if AJ wanted in, why not break the glass?...

I am sorry but, i blame the parents of the kids - and the police allowing this to escalate and not do anything about it . When clearly this has been going on for awhile. She told those kids not to play on her property outside her house and window many times and called the police and they done nothing about it either. Where were the parents - why are you still letting them play there, ? and after dark at night -Crazy and the mom went over there with intent to cause trouble, banging on the window and door, A clear lack of parental control and police not doing there job, !! Just my opinion .

That lady today would be in her house peacefully, but because of the children of the woman who died who do not know how to respect and who do not teach them consideration towards their neighbors, she is now going through this situation, the woman who died did not go to the lady to talk. decently, because these people only know how to shout and insult, the lady defended herself, leave her alone.

Ah would you ever get a grip, that woman was constantly tormenting those children, watching them like a hawk out her window and shouting and giving out to them all the time. She antagonized them. Their mother was at her wits end and just wanted her to leave her kids alone!! She wasn't going to lay a finger on her!!

@@Superior_Mindz88 - For real. When my neighbors held their daughter's graduation party in her back yard with loud music, it was crappy for me. They'd just moved in, no one in the neighborhood was invited, and loud music until midnight. And we hated it, so my husband took me out to dinner and shopping to get away from it. When we came home, we both put on our headphones and drowned out the music as best we could. They weren't breaking the law; the music shut down at midnight. No reason to get up in arms for them having a celebration. They have as much a right to live their lives as I have to live mine.

⚖🇺🇲She'll be fine in prison where there's no children that were never taught basic common courtesy, respect, much less accountability. She won't have to worry about it being quiet for her to be able to work from home, she'll be fed, housed, have rec time, a quiet library.
