I am a little worried about growth projections of funds i kept in a HYSA north of $80k, I aim to avoid FOMO and look at buying at the dips. Am I better off investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now?

Agree. Very likely we r headed for a decade long bear market in all western assets. It will be a period of geopolitical n currency changes. Within US this is the chance to do the long-needed economic n social n government reforms. If we succeed, US will be on a long-term sustainable growth path in a decade. But we must take the pain 1st n do the adjustments. From investing pov, sell all US, european equities n bonds. Go long Gold and Crypto. Go long emerging market trade........ I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Francine Duguay's, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Gold would not sell off as hard as the stock market and it would recover quickly. Just do not worry about Gold.

Of course all stocks get hit in a downturn as index funds sell off and paper gold/gold derivatives sell off too in a downturn due to margin calls. However, like the commenter said, when SHTF and inflation continues to increase, NO ONE is going to want to hold cash and real assets/hard assets will recover and "appreciate" to keep pace with inflation.

Words like "depression" and "shtf" are totally different from another recession. People will not care about gold in those circumstances. They will care about food, water, shelter, safety, daily needed items like stoves, refrigerators, you name it. IMO, a good time to sell PM's is BEFORE "shtf" or a currency crisis. But don't leave it in cash. Transfer it into any new items/home upgrades and the list above. If all those are in good shape, maybe transfer it into land purchase. But don't leave it in cash. Cheers

I listened to 20 mins of this on X today and heard more of it, but it still was breaking up when Peter was saying important stuff. I got annoyed and thought I could listen to it on KZbin later, but it's actually worse here. I would prefer if this was recorded on KZbin and Rumble, then shared on X. Spaces has a LONG way to go. Especially when we (my wife and I) miss something Uncle Peter (we consider an uncle) is saying.
