i can't believe i actually got bored of winning. it's true. before that Superbowl against the eagles, i was sooooo bored. i just felt that nothing mattered we had the best and nothing really mattered and that Superbowl i swear it was like the beginning of the end. the eagles must've been terrified looking at our schematics, i remember imagining them saying, "were going for it on every 4th down, this is the greatest team in history, if we give them the ball once. we'll lose."

When it comes to what these rookie QBs have around them, I would say Drake Maye has done the absolute best in my opinion. Drake had essentially a high school football team around him whereas, Bo Nix had one of the best OLs in the league to protect him. Jayden Daniels has a great squad around him as well to help him along. Caleb Williams has one of the best receiving corps in the league and still lost 8 games in a row. The 1 thing that these rookies have that Drake doesn't yet, is a competent HC and OC and he still manages to kill it out on the field. It's not his fault his coaches coach conservatively and have no idea how to use him properly. Drake Maye is the best QB in the last draft hands down.

if you're going to give drake a pass you have to give the rookie head coach one too. in fact. you could say mayo has done better because the way he burst out of the gate had everyone convinced he was really good. because if you think most of what bill was doing wasn't elevating a bottom level defense you're kidding yourself. this isn't about mayo its about how great bill really was and you shouldn't had let personal nonsense kick him out. but we quickly realized he's (mayo)never done this before. And he's definitely not bill. bill is at the other side of the spectrum being the longest termed head coach vs the rookie of rookies. the problem w ma is there is always a racial component to everything that clouds people's judgment . we say there isn't but we know better. we wear it on our sleeve lets be real. it's a problem. and you are never going to attract the best players in the league until it has been confronted. you can't just sweep it under the rug when you've worn it as a badge of honor for so long. they know. look, they know. the only way around it is through. if we don't pay our dues the next coach could very well be vrabrel and he'll find his hands tied behind his back and his best years sabotaged because of morons that don't have the teams best interest at heart. This is something that has to be done. and it has to work. and the fans have to behave like ordinary fans. We can't be seen as pushing the first black head coach out the door without giving him his 3 year trial.
