AVP had a strong 1st half. His 2nd half though? Absolutely abysmal. Hes still somehow our best coach on the staff.
@heathhersom6579Күн бұрын
Wait.. AVP's offense scored 21, was 7/12 on 3rd down, 2/2 on 4th down, and other than Rhamondre fumbling (not AVPs fault) and Drake throwing a INT (not AVP's fault) the passing and running game was pretty efficient. That's with the 31st and 32nd rank WRs/OL and a rookie QB. How can you say AVP's on the hot seat but DeMarcus Covington isn't after this performance? The Bills were running and throwing the ball at will. The only reason they didn't put up bigger numbers is because the Bills lost the time of possession, Josh threw a bad INT, and the they had a dozen penalties. The Bills looked like they rolled out of bed to play a 3-11 football team in the cold. They didn't take the Patriots seriously.

Bills offense had one long run and one long drive to start the second half, and that is the extent of what they did all day. Next longest drive was 40 yards and ended with a punt. They were in the red zone once. The only reason they even got to 24 points was because they were gifted 10 off of turnovers. The difference in TOP was less than 2 minutes.

It's a joke the lenght at which you guys go to defend a mediocre head coach because he's your friend. It's a disservice to the fans. I heard what Drake said about the coaching staff, but what is he supposed to say? They may be friends to their players, but that doesn't qualify them as a good coaching staff. Many conservative play calls designed to not lose badly, keep it close so shills can do their magic. Not falling for this crap. It was one of the worst punt decisions this century. Also, how can you argue it worked out when you LOST THE GAME?!? Isn't the object to win the game? You can't argue a counterfactual by assuming they don't pick it up on 4th down and the bills drive down and seal the game. Jerod doesn’t get as much leeway (spelling?) because he was hired as HC of a professional football team. The NFL for HC’s is not a developmental league. When you take over a team as HC you are expected to lead the team not be on-the-job training. The NFL for players is partially a developmental league, it’s a mix of rookies/younger players and veterans and the good teams have a healthy of balance veteran leaders with developing young guys. If there was no salary cap you’d see more teams not play young developmental players and paying top dollar for veterans.

you need 4 new lineman dude, till then nothing else will matter. yes you DO need 4, maybe even 5 because you can't count on David Andrews coming back from an injury at his age, and Onwemu is mid at best by pff grade and he could easily get hurt too. maybe andrews just retires too need at least 4 new lineman this offseason

Does no one remember Mayo wanting to burn some cash in free agency? You blamed Belichick and they were exactly the same after he left. Now you're blaming Mayo. I guarantee you if he leaves, they'll be the same. Van Pelt is too conservative.
@BaronVonMunchКүн бұрын
Kraft is cheap, Kraft just wants his shills to blame everything on Belichick. It's absurd that they've put out this message of a rebuild that will take years, yet in the first offseason with plenty of cap space, they make no worthwhile additions and just resigned their own players. So you don't do anything in the first year of a multi-year rebuild? These guys are all idiots, but Kraft has the billions by marrying into it so he gets what he wants. And clearly he wants to shaft all Patriot fans.

They do not know how to win. They are what Pats used to do- stay close and let other team lose.

@BaronVonMunchКүн бұрын
No OC with a brain would ever want to design a backwards screen pass. There is a good reason why screen passes are thrown forward. Either it was a really bad design or Stephenson was in the wrong place.
@stanleywalus9771Күн бұрын
So we like Mayo. Is that the right move moving forward. Look @ KC this year and last their defense is the reason nthey are winning. No trak meet here. OL & DL stability most important.

Bryan is completly correct. The Drake Maye glazers are getting annoying.
@ironPatriots48Күн бұрын
Oh cut the s***, the both of you about the backwards Pass play. Hoyer is correct, once Drake seen it wasn't playing out, it should have been thrown in the turf. But if would have gotten a 60 yard play out of it , you would've loved it. Tom saying it shouldn't have been called because you don't know what can happen is in any designed play. Drake Maye is proving himself to be a good, well adapted athlete that can make quick decisions and I bet if they ran that same play, Maye would've learned from this one and the outcome would be different.
@BaronVonMunchКүн бұрын
You can't throw a backwards pass into the turf idiot as it would be a fumble. He could have not thrown the designed screen pass, but I've seen many qbs throw them even when they aren't perfectly open. That's not unusual. What is strange is designing a backwards screen pass. That is a horrible idea and shouldn't be done, period. And Stephenson should have caught it, no excuse for him to drop that at all.

Look at the bright side both the Bills and the Pats are in second place with a shot at number one still. The only difference is the Bill are second in the AFC standings and the Pats are second in the draft. So go Pats hahaha 😅

Really well I guess the Patriots should give all those Lombardis back because it was pretty much the basis of their offense during those years
@highlordfurerКүн бұрын
Van Pelt cannot give players talent.What makes talented players is not just physical traits but football smarts as well.Bad players make dumb mistakes and get physically beat that is why they are bad.
@BaronVonMunchКүн бұрын
Teams that make a lot of mistakes are created by coaching. You don't have 1 roster of 53 plus players that all naturally don't make mistakes and another one that does. The coaching controls this. Always been this way and only idiots that know nothing about football don't understand this.
