In some cases, prisoners and convicts in Australia were forcibly sent to war, especially in the early days of World War I. Some countries employed a policy of conscription to bolster their military forces, and prisoners, convicts, or individuals convicted of various crimes could be recruited as military personnel to participate in the war. However, it should be noted that in some cases, prisoners likely had a choice and could opt for military service instead of prison, especially if it offered them opportunities for improved status or increased rights and privileges. But in other cases, these individuals may have been coerced or pressured into participating in the war. Now, those same convicts who were deemed dangerous to society are remembered as war heroes, and the Australian government not only hides this significant lie through media but shamelessly continues to glorify war and aggression against other countries.

Gentlemen Australian Navy vessels are never refered to as the HMAS! It is just HMAS. Think about it, HMAS, His Majesty's Australian Ship. putting "the" in front of it doesn't make sense.

It’s shameful that Australia attacked countries in World War I that posed no direct threat to Australian soil, sacrificed its own soldiers, killed innocent people, and now proudly celebrates this brutal slaughter without learning any lessons from its past mistakes. It’s extremely shameful that Australian taxpayers’ money is used to kill people in other lands, endangering the lives of its own soldiers, and celebrating this disastrous folly. Shame and disgrace upon war.
