Had two weeks in gala a couple of years ago and followed in your footsteps pal what a place the borders are stunning land went up to those big cairns sure I saw the Wallace pass me by. Epic land 🏴🏴🏴💪

Just come across your videos new sub I'm from england and from my Dads side of the family name is Irish and my mum's side of Scottish my grandad is Scottish native from the macdonald clan and we have roots with somerled Norse Gaelic Lord of the island and I'm a pagan it's weird

My guess is it’s a proposed design for a footbridge between the Lowood estate and the Ellewyn Glen road. The drawbridge would prevent access by the commoners (ie my rowdy ancestors). If my idea is correct then this bridge would have been situated in Roxburghshire. The county line being very close by on the edge of modern day Galashiels. Your videos are excellent.
