Hi i caught a swarm and its become a very calm and very good laying Queen my question is how long do you keep a swarm Queen for or do i wait until the hive tells you when by as i don't know her age thank you

I hate I missed you live. When is the best time of year to start bee keeping? Would now be too late? Should start earlier? Also, I have raccoons that come into my backyard every night. We feed them. Will they be a problem? Will they try to raid the honey?
