I thought initially there were small bee hive larvae but I never saw a beetle. Then I grabbed one to throw to a chicken and it spun and then I knew it was a moth larvae. I did an inspection the next morning and found very few larvae and killed them with virtually no web. I later noticed a bee fly out of the hive with a live larvae and again later another bee flying out with some long webbing. I increased my inspections to insure there was no increase. Repeatedly during the late afternoon and evening I’ve seen moths trying to bypass the bee guards but less and less as the numbers of bees have increased. One even tackled a moth in flight. Crazy stuff. I’ve even have made bait traps for them. They are the only problem I’ve had starting a colony from a package. Great live chat.

I appreciate your channel. Just got mine 2 days ago. Had alot dead but not inch n half. They seem to be happy and ive pretty much left them alone cept feeding.
