How the hell does it take 45 minutes to finally give the 71 a penalty for taking out the 96?? If the drive through was given immediately it would have been much more of a penalty as the field was still more compact.

@@billwonders1603 That Ferrari move was both deliberate and dangerous, worthy of Schui at his worst. 3 race ban for the driver is what is needed to stop these schoolboy moves.

Yeah, i was wondering about that as well, but i assume that there was a lot of discussion with the team leaders for it to get delayed as much. If not, then yeah, that is borderline outrageous for such an obvious move.

The McLaren Customer racing package (parts, engineering staff, factory drivers, OEM contributions) and the drivability for amateur drivers isn't as good as the other brands, so it is less desirable. Your money can go further elsewhere.

@@Kurz_Weber ah okay interesting, real shame cuz I love the 720s gt3 and mclaren as a brand, would love to see more of them, I take it brands like Porsche have much better racing packages?

@@youtuber8342 yes - the German firms (and Ferrari; because its Ferrari) all have good customer racing programs - Audi used to be the benchmark. The Germans pretty much all have profitable business arms selling racing cars and support services. They also aim making their cars operate at good drivable window for Amateurs/Owners to produce a decent lap consistently. Other cars drop off during a stint or have a high Aero reliance that only experienced racers can exploit (The McLaren falls inside that window). Ferrari can create the most expensive GT3 car and sell them out because of the brands prestige.

I really don't know how you guys watch this. I personally like IMSA better, that's hardcore skill. It's all racing i guess, im not throwing shade at the fans, it's just really different.

Having been a fan of endurance racing for a very long time (the first endurance race that I can remember watching was Le Mans 1965), I have to say that this was one of most boring races I have ever seen, emphasising once again the near impossibility of overtaking on the new Nurburgring - a truly dreadful track that is quite unsuitable for any international level motorsport event. Possibly the least interesting circuit ever built, and that against some tough competition in an era of anodyne Tilkedromes, and to think that parts of the historic Nurburgring, including the South Curve were lost to build it. Please, please, please never hold another international motorsport event at this circuit. The excessive number of adverts in this video was also unacceptable.

If you think this race was that boring, you've got your standrds way too high. This was not boring at all unless you demand to have race full of incredibly close battles every single time. I do concede that overtaking was too difficult but I would not go as far as saying that they should refrain from going to this track, it's a great one. I have no idea how this could be "possibly the least interesting circuit ever built".

@@theflagstand I find it hard to believe that you do not have any financial interest in the circuit or some other aspect of the race - that is the only reason that I can think of for your bizarre comment. Listen sonny, I have been a keen fan of motor racing for over sixty years, and I have seen thousands upon thousands of races, I suspect that it might be literally true that I have seen more races than you have had hot dinners, so I know exactly what a boring race is - I have seen plenty in my time, and this was one of the worst. Frankly your implication that I don’t know what a boring race is offensive and insulting. I am by no means the first person to point out what a truly dreadful circuit the new Nurburgring is - read what Autosport for example wrote in 1984 after watching first meeting. It is also why the German GP no longer goes there - after a succession of processional races there. Trolling people who point this out isn’t going to sort out the circuit’s financial problems - the reason for this is not us, but the management of the circuit in the early 1980s who constructed this white elephant, and an insult to the great classic circuit.

@@brakecompo2005 The only thing bizarre is your assumption that I have some ulterior motive to say the things I did. Is it so hard to believe that some ppl enjoy just seeing cars go around the track? That not everyone needs so see tons of overtaking for the race to be enjoyable to them? Also referring to my reply as "trolling" is a bit wild. Your posturing about how much racing you have seen (complete with telling me to "listen, sonny", I see the unfounded assumptions continue) is irrelevant. If anything, you should know that in the old days the races could be "boring" by modern standards. About my experience watching racing, I may not have many decades behind me but I have seen a fair amount of races, quite enough to know a few things and say a few things. Bringing up a 1984 article is... amusing. I know what ppl thought of this track when it was new. Of course they hated it bc it was nothing like compared to the nordschleife and it was much safer and more bland than the tracks they were used to. But over the years, in the eyes of many this track has become a bit of a classic in itself, at least partly bc it's much more of a driver's track than many newer tracks. You know, kinda like how a 1960s driver would probably vomit upon encountering the sepang circuit, yet that track is nowadays cknsidered something of a modern classic. The point is that ppl in 1984 would have hated it for different reasons and the entire sport was so different that any analysis made back then would not apply to the current situation. Look, I don't know what you wanna see when you watch a race. The fact is, so many newer, more impatient fans (who on the f1 side of things could be called dts fans) want constant action and that every single race is a classic. And I'm tired of seeing those complaints. Perhaps your complaint has more substance than those ppl's, I respect that. Your opinion is your opinion, ofc. But I cannot help but consider your opinion an an overly harsh one, because, no matter how hard I try, I cannot see that this race was boring at all. Somewhat uneventful, yes, but not boring. I still find tour standards too high. It should be noted that stuff like this has happened to me several times before. Somebody or even a bunch of ppl complain that a race was boring and yet I found the same race very enjoyable.
