Why does Floor serve every song she sings? Needs a special kind of person. And this short documentary from 2015 did a stellar job of staying close to who she really is (see what I did there? hehe..). Another favourite reactor of mine, Eric Clark, said this lovely thing abt Tuomas: "He is such an introvert in a way, that he kinda would rather be in the audience watching himself". And I thought: Bingo! That's exactly what Floor said when she was interviewed on site, standing before the impressive Tampere podium the day before their show. That whole mini-docu, filmed before, during and after that concert in Finland was done so well, in that in just 15 minutes you'll experience Floor as a stellar performer as well as the lovely & humble person she really is. So here's my heartfelt request: would you consider reacting to that documentary? It's English subbed, done for Dutch TV so you'll get the extra bonus of hearing Floor speak her mother tongue. Her parents were also interviewed right after the sound check and there's also a "day after" interview where Floor says something about the terrible burn-out she suffered in 2011, only one year before she got that famous call from Tuomas c.s. So here goes, Floor "back to school" with her former classmates from the Rock Academy: "Floor Jansen in Dutch show Reunion (Tampere 2015)". I'll post the link to the right version here, since there's also a version which gets out of sync after a while. Hope my comment won't get filtered out by YT due to the link, bu we'll see.. Sorry I missed this live; also struggling with sleep deprivation, grabbed some late zzzzzz's. New subscriber, although I have often enjoyed your videos while streaming, cannot subscribe, or comment, with TV remote! Share your love of Nightwish and Floor Jansen. Finding them at start of pandemic brought back my love of music and launched me into the totally unexpected genre of heavy metal! Symphonic metal feels a lot like US hard rock of the 80's with the addition of orchestral elements. Nightwish is in a league of their own, even with the other very talented bands in this genre. Was able to see Nightwish live in Minneapolis in May, and it was a transformative experience. Felt like shouting, singing, laughing and crying at the same time; their music touches so deeply. Was directly above stage right, so saw the sweat in Emppu's lip and Floor's brow and every joyous expression. It was extremely clear that the band was very happy to be performing again with each other and for their fans. Am chomping at the bit to see them again! If you get the chance, absolutely go see them live! Unfortunately, the copyright strike issue is one that needs to hope soon be addressed, as Tank and other reactors, and Nightwish has noted (although someone in their hierarchy gives many strikes themselves!), reactors are driving significant traffic to bands electronic, financial and live media. Foolish to stifle a notable avenue of increased recognition and revenue! Long winded way to say hello, appreciate your passion for music, and especially Nightwish, don't get discouraged from following your passion, looks like you have nearly 50k others in your corner!

Small suggestion if I may, Charlotte Wessels might be right up your alley. Wonderful emotional singer. Solo stuff like Soft Revolution or some of her stuff with Delain.

Hi Christi. For a less 'dangerous' reaction (copyrightwise) you could consider 'The theatre equation'. A live performance of 'The human equation' rock opera by Arjen Lucassen. No Floor, but Irene Jansen, Marcella Bovio, Anneke van Giersbergen, James Labrie, Mike Mills and many others. Three singers play human characters ('me', 'wife' and 'best friend'). The rest play emotions (such as anger, love, pain, fear, etc). The story is about 'me', who is in a coma for 20 days after a mysterious car accident with no other cars involved. Each day is 1 song. As you know, Arjen is known for being quite OK with reactions to his music.

This is one of the most expressive songs I've heard her sing, and that's saying a lot. She puts her mind, technique and soul into her work and sounds amazing and (even though I've heard her say you can always be just a step away from perfection without ever reaching it, but she walks the line a little too well. I hope you can react to Above and Beyond's acoustic performance at the Hollywood Bowl especially On My Way To Heaven or Miracle, both with different but great singers on their own, and Epica's Unchain Utopia or The Skeleton Key from Omega Alive

Have to be honest here, personally I prefer the recorded videos for reactions than live streams, since you can pay more attention to the music and to comment on it rather than to what the chat is saying. Really love when you discovered music that way. Maybe you could do the two things separately? Record some videos for the music reactions and do live for exclusively chatting with subscribers (which I really enjoyed when I was able to join) Just my 2 cents! Whatever you decide to do I'll follow since you are great 😀 PD: would be cool if you come back to Epica at some point, Simone is an amazing vocalist to analyze

Hi Christi, loved your reaction! To give some insight about het "Wilhelmus". We usually sing only the 1st verse and sometimes the 6th. It is written between 1568 and April 1572 by Filips van Marnix van Sint Aldegonde (who was a close friend of William the Silent) and considered the oldest national anthem. It is 15 verses long and if you take the first letter of each verse it says:" Willem van Nassou". The name of William the Silent who was the first Stadtholder of the "Republieck der 7 Vereenigde Proviciën". As he inherited also the tile "Prince of Orange" The Royal House name is "Van Oranje Nassau".

Thanks! And of course it can bring a tear to my eyes, but only when seeing it done during a medal ceremony, combined with the footage of athletes and their emotions. To start a sporting event with the national anthem it takes a little more to move people not only me. As a song and especially melodywise, "Wilhelmus" is a rather mellow thing, no crescendo, no building in impact, just delivering verses. So I really wonder what Floor can do in embellishing or emphasising things without taking it over the top!

hello Christi About the Tank video: I watched it when it was uploaded and found it to be an annoying interview: I cancelled my subscription and didn't watch him again and I believe he didn't do any Nightwish uploads after that. Basically, he says that the band should be grateful that so many reaction videos are done about Nightwish and that this has increased the band's popularity. I think that's nonsense: There are a lot of US reactors, but the concerts in the US weren't in bigger theaters and really weren't all sold out. He may think that the band members should get into his youtube channel to sell their product, but he has no right to do that. Tank is 1 of the youtubers who does make money from his channel. To be fair, he has made some nice uploads about Nightwish about technique of the instruments and the show.

Hi Christi... so miss your Angelina reactions. Very sad since she has been a very very busy young lady and once she is unleashed on the mundane music industry...look out. Will not suggest anything since there is so much lately, new studio releases, "Suspicious Minds", Whitney's "I have Nothing" not to mention 4 live concerts in Norway with tons of uploads from them. Anyway, maybe sometime you will get back to the GOAT who is now 16.
