Why do people keep automatically throwing Turbo in to next years squad? He’s been broken down for 3 years now and didn’t impress at all in his last original series. Still a hole in the defensive line at origin level

I put that loss down to Billy slater. He’s been brilliant for a few years so I’m not calling for his head but he made some terrible blunders 1. Danes gagai looked old all night. Bradman best scorched him every time. I kept waiting for Billy to replace gagai with ponga but it never came. 2. DCE looked old too. That play when he beat Angus Crichton and then went across field and then just danced on the spot hoping someone would run and then Crichton knocked the ball out of his hand. That was an old man play. A younger player would have either thrown a pass out to another ball player and forced them to move or ran himself and indecisiveness cost Queensland badly. 3. Replacing felise kaufusi in the 15th minute and not putting him back on at all was a complete waste of time. Queensland always had a bench light on forwards. However when you refuse to use one that means we had a utility a back and a forward on the bench. It’s little wonder in the last 10 minutes Queenslands forwards ran out of steam. This one I put on Kevin walters. For selwynn cobbo to run out of energy in the second half is just ridiculous. He’s got immense talent and he worked hard. But he was hardly a work horse and late in the game ponga made a halfbreak ran across field and cobbo over ran him, then proceeded to just stand there when if he had got back inside he could have received a pass and had an open lane to the try line. This is a basic lack of conditioning. Moses played brilliantly and so did Edward. Walsh might be the most talented footballer in the game. But Edwards is the best fullback.

I only had jarome in my side coz walker was only just coming back... and then only coz thats what i thought selectors would do, i personally would of went with burton and mitch moses and i still would love to see that because i think stylistically they the best halves combo i can imagine particularly kicking

I know it’s tempting to select next years team for State of Origin but there is a lot of water yet to pass under the bridge before then. There will be injuries and form losses Full credit to Queensland for hanging in there and being in front with fifteen minutes to play despite being outplayed by NSW Great series, looking forward to next year

If Madge is smart, he will find an assistant coach role with a head coach he can work with. Why would you give up the best job in the game? NSW is a forward pack in his image and a strong, brutal, work-ethic backline also in his image; why give it up? Of course, this is easier said than done; a head coach working with an Origin coach would take a stable ego. I also suspect that Yeo will shift into the captaincy role with vice-captain Cameron Murray; Madge will want to keep Yeo off the bench. Of course, that will be the end of Jake as captain; that would be understandable since Jake was only on for 20 for all 3 games. Barnett to start, and Royce Hunt off the bench. Cleary, Turbo would have to win back their jumpers.

Cleary has never dominated any game outside a club game - its the one big complaint easily levelled at him. He also struggles at WCC. first half - Best had 2 carries, 2 line breaks and dropped the ball twice yet got an 8.5. First half he scored a 2 out of 10, it means 2nd half he must have scored 15 out of 10

Game 2 2022 he dominated. Game 2 2020 he dominated. The whole finals series in 2022 he domainted. And the whole 2021 series he didn’t dominate, but he definitely played well. It’s about consistency imo with Cleary. Having more great games than quiet or poor games in origin
