Watching the event, it seemed more like he was trying to educate the Libertarians on how close to his beliefs are to theirs. I liked how he used the words one of their own used to describe those beliefs, Trump read each one in the author's words. I learned two things tonight. First I had no idea about the Libertarians numbers being at 3% as far as having a say or at least being heard. 2. I always thought that Libertarians were closer to conservatives than libs. Some of them definitely proved me wrong tonight. I guess the description for some of them is in their name. So many fools in the Libertarian Party. Idealism has no place in politics. When you cannot win by any stretch of the imagination, but let someone else vote for either candidate who does win, how does that make you virtuous? It means that you gave up your chance to vote for the candidate most in line with your values, who would best represent you. I cannot believe that most Libertarians, think that govt tyranny under the Dems, who would love to control and regulate your every move, is what they would want over Trump? I saw many races in 2020 that were lost because a very slim margin of people voting for Libertarians, could have won the race for Republicans had they not been so foolish. So the whole world suffered for their stubborn idealism. The road to hell, as they say....
