As a public defender, I’m quite proud of the work we do and our ability to take on difficult cases. But man this would be a difficult one . I will say this, I’ve been reassigned to represent defendants after the defendants asked for a new attorney due to a break down in communication with their assigned attorney . 90 percent of the time, the defendant actually had a legitimate reason to ask for a new attorney. Biggest issue is communication . A lot or court appointed attorneys simply don’t communicate with their clients and don’t return their calls. Another issue is the court appointed attorney simply not doing any work on the case and just kicking the can down the road. In the last few years I’ve only had to ask to withdraw from one case due to a break down in communication. The client was insistent on a non-sensical defense, wanted to introduce not relevant and inadmissible evidence at trial .

Sarah is more concerned with protecting her ego than her best shot at the case. She doesn’t want the best representation in reducing her sentence, maybe display her as a battered spouse etc, she wants to be found innocent and wonderful. None of her attorneys have provided her with the assurance that she’s done nothing wrong and they will prove it in court.

I think she is an entitled brat, and I don’t think the taxpayers of Florida (me included) should keep fitting the bill for her bs. 8 out of 8 educated licensed professionals disagree with her but she still thinks she’s right. She loves the attention she loves being on the news. Talking about the lawyer’s attitude, what about HER attitude? You zipped your boyfriend up in a suitcase and he died, you don’t get to be “annoyed” ma’am.

Yes....if you are Sarah's court appointed attorney & you don't abide by her terms, she will write inflammatory letters to the judge smearing your name & making baseless accusations Sarah makes a lot of claims with no information to back them up. She couldn't cite one specific example to back up her claims against Ms Cashman....not one. eta: Sarah submitted a 58 page letter that nobody has seen.... obvious shots fired at Ms Cashman....Sarah wants to get a jump spreading her bs without argument. That right there says a lot about Sarah's character, or lack thereof.

Lol your funny ditto on everything you said, yes from Daybell case to this, people keep screwing themselves with their phones! I've had a cell phone about 10 years longer than most people. Flip in the 80s. When I had 3 Verizon phones ( me and kids ) I had LG and this one called the Voyager. Id be on the train, bus plane and people would be tripping. Hardly anyone had phones. But that was for work. Socially even though I film bands and am a photographer, I never sit at a restaurant with my face in my phone. Never at the dinner table. Never with my kids or grandkids. I find it rude. Never to cheat like Lori & Chad. So these people are getting what they deserve! I had never watched any of those body cam arrest videos, omg watch a few someday. Females freaking out getting arrested and ALL THEY CARE ABOUT, is their phone. They all yell at the cops " where's my phone! I need my phone! Hats go off to tech forensics workers. I wonder if they have " foreensic workers appreciation day "? 😂

She’s facing SECOND degree murd3r charges so she has LOTS of wiggle room actually. It’s not about whether she did it, she obviously did. It’s a matter of mitigating the damage and showing a good reason WHY she did it. And frankly she has a good reason- she can claim DV seeing as how Jorge had been arrested for it before. It causes trauma and the victim sometimes snaps and fights back when given the chance. If she were to argue this well, she can get her time drastically reduced.

@@kateashby3066 A lot of people get arrested erroneously, I’m not fully convinced SB wasn’t the initial aggressor. Maybe the relationship was toxic both ways and usually the man is considered the main aggressor, plus we have seen the stories she makes. The woman in that video doesn’t sound like a woman afraid of her ábüsèr. She also treats her other ex in a very âbüsïvê way, is evident in her letters about the custody case and how she pretended for him to defend her. The way she treats her lawyers and even the judge, sounds very ábüsïvê too. I grew up receiving DV, lots of psychological form too, I know being triggered and responding is a thing, I know there is a point where the person can get defensive, but she has a pattern in the way she treats everybody. Victims of DV that only react, don’t go through life mistreating people and would be completely afraid of ending the situation the way she did it, taunting him and mocking him. I find very hard the possibility of her finding an expert that would say she was reacting.
