Here’s the thing. We are already happy. We need to remove all of the barriers of unhappiness within us. It’s akin to removing the body fat from the torso. The abs are already there.

Hey Justin. I just wanted to let you know your videos have really helped me over the past year in learning about myself, and have introduced me to philosophy. I have experienced much love and growth through your watching your videos, and your original point of view. I appreciate the divine work you do with your videos. I thought you sounded different in your video, I hope you are doing ok. “Society everywhere is in conspiracy against the manhood of every one of its members. The virtue in most request is conformity. Self-reliance is its aversion. It loves not realities and creators, but names and customs.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I’m trying to find the keys that made me unhappy “overthinking” about things that don’t exist and also having my mind without a goal without a challenge to grow up and change it makes me even miserable, I exchange my loneliness and pain with thinking how can I become better and try everything I failed to do in the past when I struggle to see what I want in the future. Happiness isn’t asked for it’s earned from within. Not even friends can make me happy but family members always do.

You can have both. As long as you love yourself first and foremost, which enables you to be the best lover to everyone. You can have your 🍰 and 🤤 Having material things doesn’t mean those things own you or disable one from being loving. ❤

Correct. However. It's hard to want those things enough to obtain them if you truly are happy. Alot of the time it will seem like a waste to spend your time trying to get more. If you are Truly happy, content

"I pissed on the man who called me a dog. Why was he so surprised? " ~Diogenes

There's a story where Diogenes was wondering the streets of Athens, holding a lit lantern, in board daylight; and whenever he would come across another, he would yell: "I'm looking for an honest man!" And walk away because there are no truly honest men.

The problem is society. It teaches children that love is conditional. It's dependent on how they act and what they do. If they do something that is considered wrong by society then they are judged bad and punish themselves. If you can live with very little, don't judge yourself, don't judge others, don't take things personally, don't create attachments, and don't believe that you're the mask you're currently wearing then you can be happy in life. All you need to be happy is not to feed the parasite that makes you think you need something to be happy or there is a condition that needs to be met to be happy. An example for me is that I felt I needed a wife to be happy or I needed to be treated a certain way by people around me to be happy or that people needed to accept whatever I said because I was being my true self. None of that is needed. It's just agreements we make with ourselves. We punish ourselves when we do something we are taught is bad.
@martynblackburn96322 жыл бұрын
If we take that advice then we are going to be in trouble here in the West. Such a philosophy is at odds with this society because we need both conditional and unconditional love.

*Never let one failure from the past hold you back in the future* 👉🏻 *MUST READ FOR YOU* “As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not. He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. ‘Well,’ trainer said, ‘when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.’ The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.” *I LOVE YOU* ❤️

This was a really awful tribute to Diogenes. Shame.
@charlesdahmital80952 жыл бұрын
Diogenes was a fool. To seek nothing to be happy is just as fallacious as to seek everything to be happy. Diogenes only succeeded in life because he depended on the protection of those who were actually out doing something. In other words he was, at base, the same as the homeless transient we see on street corners today. You could not have a successful society of Diogenes like people as nothing of value would get done and it would be conquered by those that are busy getting things done.
